Right now, heartfelt wishes of good luck and sympathy to those in Japan along the Eastern coast or with loved ones there, and any other Pacific regions affected.

Smile

Edit:

Right now, Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! Don't forget to wear green.

Right now, adding my sympathies for the Japanese. I can't imagine what those who survived but lost loved ones are going through. Here's hoping they'll pull through.

Right now, just curious, does anyone here still visit the cavern regularly, or has most of the Great Tree moved on to other things? Nothing wrong with either, and I can't honestly say I go down very often myself, but it's been years since I saw most of the people here, so I was just curious.

Edit 2 (March 20):

...

Hmm...

Perhaps the silence of these forums answers my question...

...Right now.

Right now... very sweet, dearest Imp... Thanks for stopping by... Very Happy

I'd say, it most probably is as you've already guessed that most of
the GT friends moved on for other things, whatever this might be,
Uru/Myst related or not... The MOUL forums are almost as silent as
our GT forums are... A few are trying to keep things rolling through
cavern activities and events, but in general I believe that Uru/MOULa
is almost dead ... I don't want to go into this more deeply lol...

My visits to the cavern are considerably dwindling, which is of course
also due to most events taking place, when it is already late after
midnight my time lol, but not only that... Life is changing a lot, which
is wonderful, and Uru/MOULa and the Uruites are not exempt from this
either lol...

The energies in the community are too much opposed if not even
antagonistic on a more or less subconscious level, there are too many
factions walking in different directions with different intentions and ideas,
this won't work anymore ... It makes already wonder how Uru could
survive like this for so long... With no consent and common goal from
the heart a further survival will be almost if not at all impossible in these
extraordinary times of liberation, of leaving all sense of separation and
limitations behind and collectively moving forward co-creating a better world ...

Let's just see, where this all will lead us, individually and collectively...
I'm wishing you all a wonderful day and time... Riding the waves of
change with as much faith, joy and passion as well as strength, clarity
and courage will see us through quite easily and gracefully... /wave... Very Happy

And thank you for your reply, Janaba. I don't post a lot here or on the other Uru forums I visit, (I'm one of those "lurkers", you know), but I do keep an eye on the Uru community none the less, and I just have to say that, after seeing so many of your posts, I know when I see a new post by you that I'll enjoy reading it, before I even read it. You're one of those rare treasures in an online community, the kind of person who just seems to spread sunlight wherever they go.

You're right about the oppositions and factions that seem to be ever present in the Uru community, just under the surface. But even when all the built up tension rears its head, it never seems to have a chance to last long. It never gets a good grip. Someone always steps in and manages to diffuse things. Our community isn't perfect, obviously, but I think it's a community I can be proud to be a part of. (If only as a lurker. Wink ). Oh, and an interesting observation, it the time I've been following the Great Tree forums, I've noticed a conspicuous lack of antagonism among everyone here. Smile And not just recently, for as long as I've been here. We all have our differences, of course, but I've never seen anyone here completely loose their cool.

I do find it sad that the Cavern and forums seem to be silent of late. Things aren't completely silent, I still find new people in the cavern ready and willing to go off on some adventure, but it's not alive like it might be, like it should be, like it deserves to be. It's almost like watching a pile of glowing embers in a fire-pit, when they're just hot enough to simmer but not hot enough to burn. It makes me think "Wow! If I could just find some kindling, there'd be a bonfire here in no time!" And this isn't just nostalgia. I'm not just thinking of the life that used to fill D'ni, I'm thinking of the spark of life that's still there and that's just waiting to burst into flame again, an even greater flame than it ever was before.

But I'll stop before I get too carried away. Wink I think this quote from Chogon (MOUL Forums) will suffice to sum up my musings:

Chogon wrote:
Brice, Brice, Brice, Brice <shaking head>
You should know that nothin' *ever* dies around here.

--Chogon

So... If any Great Tree people happen to wander underground when I'm down there, I'll expect a shorah. Wink And try to have your neighborhood in the nexus once in a while too, 'k? Razz Very Happy

'Til then, I'll keep my light garden green, even if I'm the only one who ever knows why. Cool

If I don't see you again, Shorah b'shem.

Ohh, Imp... what can I say... OMG, haha... Thank you, my friend, right now... Razz

And yeah, the Great Tree people are a quite extraordinary bunch of Uruites...
Prof Askew once compared our interrelation with something like a hive... but
most important is, we respect each other however different we might be and
we are free, free of expectations towards each other etc... And you, dearest Imp,
seem to fit in here pretty well... Smile

As of the 'kindling' you've mentioned, that is exactly the point where everything
again and again leads to a near dead end, and I believe it was our awesome OHB
(and those working with him), who actually, with a great amount of energy and
passion and with his ever cheerful disposition empathetically and patiently paved
the way to a more open-minded approach to assessing and differentiating the
so-called 'hackers' and 'crackers' and their valuable efforts and ideas as well as
through his own enormous elaborate projects, which are still enhancing and
improving the cavern experience for many ...

The thing here is that many are still projecting past expectations and longings for
what could have been missed into the now, which has been postponed for years
and forever and thus yearning for a continuation by Cyan, which will maybe never
happen, hence only acknowledging Cyan Worlds as a 'kindling' and thereby impeding
or at least delaying any progress or forward-movement, more or less consciously...
Now, waiting for a trigger to burst that spark, while not being open to the outcome
(not you) is like moving in a circle, where the cat bites its own tail lol...

Ok, however, Imp, haha... I don't care very much about Uru/MOULa anymore, life is just
too exciting, but as you I still care about our wonderful community and I also smiled to
that lovely statement by Chogon and 'Dirt' was a lot of fun (still have to figure out the
chapel puzzle lol)... Whenever I log into the cavern I set our neighborhood to public btw...

Take care all and have a great time... Blessings and Shorah... /wave... Very Happy
