The Great Tree

I would like to invite everyone to a meeting and open discussion tonight among all members of the hood and forum, as well as anyone else who would like to attend. The meeting will be held in The Great Tree Neighborhood (Atrus).

We will be discussing our community stance, and will elaborate on any questions any explorers may have.

In hopes of really understanding our current involvement, I would like to have everyone contribute to the official site that will be put online soon, especially the page which will hold our true focus on The Great Tree's purpose in D'ni.

We will log the event to be posted on the forum, and a new thread will be open for all those who could not attend and wish to contribute (so no worries if you can't make it!). Open discussion can continue on and off the forum, and all members are encouraged to contribute.

This is wonderful.

Although the meeting of course will likely not definitively decide anything before post-meeting discussion, I think it might be a good thought to construct some sort of temporary message for /tree ....

Maybe near the end of the meeting, Daedalus or someone could suggest a possible quick one or two sentences and get everyone to agree on that, and then post in on the site until a complete message is constructed--over the next few days or weeks.

You know what the problem is? When people say 'tonight,' I'm competely puzzled as to what time that is where I live. For 'official' stuff like this, could you post times for several countries?

I would like to make a request that people use the /shout command when speaking at the meeting, both those who are speaking from the podium, and those who ask questions.

Unfortunately the sound equipment in the community center isn't working yet, and the acoustics of the room don't allow anyone but the ones closest to the speaker to hear anything, so unless people /shout, most of us will be sitting in bewildered silence.
