The Guild of Cartographers' [img]http://home.att.net/~cartographyguild/index.htm[/img] is hosting a series of contests in order to allow the explorers of Uru
to analYze and name the objects and places we are exploring. We feel that this is the
natural thing for any explorers to do.

[b]The winner(s) of the contest will have their names and analysis attached to the map so
that the map readers can click on the name and a photo of the object and your analysis
will appear.[/b]

If you know of the established name or nickname of the object and it's purpose you
must submit verifiable evidence. This might include a thread, a link or a quote from a
source that can be checked out.

Although funny answers are permitted and we do encourge you to use your imagination, in this case what [b]we are looking for is the best thought out answers to such questions as...[/b] If you don't know, don't post that you don't know...submit only if you have something to contribute.

1. What is the purpose of object?
2. What does it do when it is activated? How does it move? Why?
3. Why are there more than one?
4. How does this object help the people hear with the job they are doing.
5. Based on your analysis, what is the best name for the object.

Although a lot of this might entail suppositions and plain old fashioned guessing, [b]try
to support your position with evidence and clear logic[/b] .

Feel free to go back to the age and look at the object from all angles. You can even
post screen shots here to support your convictions. Build working models, do
illustrations whatever you would like to convince us that you have solved this riddle.

Here is [b]OBJECT ONE[/b] ....it is found in the Gahreesen age in the Observation Room of
the Training Center. A smaller version of the same object can be found in the Gear Room of
the Well. Post your solutions on this thread or email them to futographer@cox.net You
can post more than once. Good luck! Winners will be announced in a few weeks or when
we feel that we have a clear winner.
