Very good! I like!
has the shape of the rocks, good use of the spiral, and the right colors, though maybe the saturation of them could be a bit deeper to really pop out like stained glass! but very excellent! so jealous! _________________ You imitate the best. . .

Hokey smokes! You've just been waiting for something like this to come along, eh? Excellent job, Restorers! *2thumbsup* _________________ Beware the butterflies of DOOOOM! and exposition

I really, really like that RestorersGuild picture. But I have one concern.
The spiral probably shouldn't be there if you're restoring a real stained glass window from the D'ni era.
Fortunately, it's a small piece of the design that can probably be replaced fairly easily. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

This is the problem with them being a little off, how can we be restoring something by designing it ourselves? This is like the Gahreesen window basically to help with the restoration we are being asked to design a window to contribute, so that's what I've done. I don't plan on loosing the spiral as I think its a nice centre piece to the window. _________________ Grey Skies | Beneath |

What Engberg said was to illustrate what you think the window would have looked like. Ideally it would be historically accurate.
That said, it's still a beautiful piece of art! (and you should design it as you wish) _________________ ~Moiety Jean

I'll clarify:
I suspect that the spiral will prevent your artwork from being selected for use, Tweek, and because I like it a lot I think that would be a shame. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

It really is a beautiful piece, Tweek!
Maybe you can ask the DRC if the spiral would be an issue? Then you'd know for sure. _________________ .yahvo kehnehn taigahntahv .taigahntahv bihv

Okay, I was feeling the urge to be a bit creative and this is what I came up with. PLEASE NOTE: this is super-duper rough as I only have MSPaint at my disposal. I haven't done shading or added more lines to make it half-way interesting, but I wanted to put up this idea b/c I think it's a bit of a different persective (see if you figure out which perspective that may be ). So...yeah...ain't much, but here she be.
Just a note, no WAY would I EVER submit it like this, but if someone with a superior program likes it and wants to do a sort of collaboration, I'm more than willing to do so! _________________ Beware the butterflies of DOOOOM! and exposition

Neat! Is it a top-down view of the fountain? It's pretty clever for MS Paint. I've always had a pretty tough time getting that program to do anything resembling what I want it to. I'm not sure how I'd survive without Photoshop.
My entry is done but I'm not sure if I'll post it before the contest is over. I feel weird about it Like, protective of my design and shy but conflicted because I am hungry for comments. _________________ ~Moiety Jean

Brava, MJ! It most certainly is! Paint can do lots of things - so long as you are willing to count pixels and spend endless hours on whatever you're doing (shading scanned line drawings is particularly fun ).
Yes, I understand the feeling of not wanting to show your work...but REALLY wanting to "show it off"! You could always send it to a select few who a) have already completed their design, b) will never attempt such a thing or c) (and perhaps most importantly) you trust enough to give you good feedback without taking anything from you. _________________ Beware the butterflies of DOOOOM! and exposition

Oh yes. You can do a lot with Paint if you're willing to pixel-paint everything. Which I'm not.
Excellent summary there I might wait till closer to the deadline and then post it. It's already submitted anyway and I doubt I'll do variations unless somebody really loves it but wants to give me a suggestion to make it perfect. . I'm sure lots of others are busy on their designs right now so I'll give them time to get further along.

I really like it, Quaxo, as I said on MSN. I like that you've worked in the five circle motif, which seems like it was quite significant to the D'ni (and I suspect has Grower connections.) I also like how you use the Tsogahl colours.
Very good.

This one took me a while, but I like the way it looks, finally.
