Quote: | The next episode, “A New Light, begins in June. In it, Power is shifting and new leaders begin to emerge while those from the past begin to fade. Amidst all the chaos, the Age of Er’Cana is released and Explorers are asked to help feed the darkening lake. Meanwhile, new information is revealed and more begin to fear the coming war. Er’Cana features a vast landscape with hours of unique gameplay that can be played single player or with friends. |

I saw this mentioned over on the Uru Obsession Forum, but didn't see anything about it here. (Although I didn't look extremely hard, so I apologize if it's already been mentioned)
So, let the speculation begin!
Perhaps Dr. Watson will return in this episode? |

Shorah, jmp12! Welcome to The Great Tree forums.
I have no idea what the future holds... my previous attempts at guessing have always been wrong. So, I'm going to hold my thoughts.
Interesting times, though. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

Isn't that more or less exactly what they said about Minkata? Lazy copy-writers! No gold star for yous
Can't wait! Although I hope its not the last week of June 'cause I'm away camping in the highlands with the folks. |

New leaders, eh? My guess is we're losing poor Engberg after what happened to Wheely. After losing his wife to a rock-climbing accident and his daughter in a cave-in, my guess is he'll want to get as far away from rocky terrain as he can!
Maybe a nice flat corn farm in Nebraska or something...
I wonder who these "new leaders" will be? _________________

I thought Er'cana was going to be multiplayer-only? It seems that you can solve it on your own from the GT page, but that could be an error of course... |

Well, if it works anything like the previous version of Er'cana, it will be like most of the "prime" Ages - you can certainly do it by yourself, but it's funner with other people around.
btw, jmp12 - glad you finally joined us on the forums! _________________

Shorah everyone! Thank you for for the warm welcome.
I'm thinking that, unfortunately, we won't be hearing from Yeesha in this episode. It seems the DRC have plans on using Er'cana to help brighten the lake in D'ni, and because of that, Er'cana doesn't seem like the best place for Yeesha to reappear, unless she wants a lot of attention from the DRC. If Yeesha does contact us during the episode though, it will probably be through Er'cana.
I'm also guessing that Engberg will return to the cavern, along with Dr.Watson.
Oh, and I seem to remember somone at Cyan mentioning that the gamplay of Er'cana wouldn't be changed extremly from the single player version, so it's probably optional whether you want to play it with others. Don't know for sure though. |

That's a shame... I thought that it took so long because they wanted to change everything to the original state, multiplayer only. I guess we'll find out in a few weeks. |

Judging from the picture, Er'cana will be different somehow. If nothing else, they'll have added access to another area.
Also, We'll be getting the watcher's sanctuary! I guess I was expecting to get that later, and for the Er'cana book to be placed in the library.
EDIT: I just went searching for a quote to give you about Er'cana's game play not changing, but unfortunately, I came up empty. Time will tell I guess

Yeah, I was going to mention that, but I was counting on everyone to use the link to the MystOnline website,(They finally updated it), and see the date there.
Works both ways I guess.
Does the screen shot of Er'cana show a new area, or just an old one at a different angle? I know we see something like that at a certain place in the age, but there seems to be new stuff around it.
EDIT:
I just looked again at the coming soon screen shots, Are there new doorways on the second floor? They might be shadows, but they kind of look like doorways. Cyan changed the Watcher's Sanctuary a lot from the single player, the imager is apparently off, and it has a blueish tint to it. I think I see some other changes, but I can't tell for certain from that picture. |

Thanks for posting this eagerly-awaited informations
The pictures look sooo great... Anyway, I often feel and think that they're
improving the graphics of the game continuously... but those screens look really like something new...
...again and again I'm really amazed |

The Sanctuary looks different... Er'cana doesn't look any different to me.
Here are some screenshots I just now captured of each in Complete Chronicles, perspectives as close as I could manage to the new MOUL shots quickly.

Wow!!! That's a nice service, Marten. Thank you
And you're right, just the "Watchers Sanctuary" has changed a little,
as far as I can see, those are the wall patterns on the second floor,
the imager itself and the blueish tint of the lights...
...and what you see as doorways, Imp12, those are just shadows I think...
but however, it just looks great |

Actually there are three doorways there connected by a metal catwalk. I have visited there via flymode in CC. I believe I was able to walk the catwalk without falling through but the doorways went nowhere...and you can't get to the catwalk by normal means....yet. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |
