The Great Tree

I hope you all will allow me to participate some as well. I know I'd like to. I was just getting up the gumption to join the hood when the news came down.

I loaded RealMyst last night to try to get into it, but just couldn't. I'll really miss the spontaneous mystery and discovery that URU offered. And the sharing. No fixed game format can really ever offer that.

Online shooters are totally boring.

I didn't take much of an opportunity to participate in any sort of shared experience with anyone within any ages other than the City or Neighborhood, and wonder how really really tough it must truly be to have done that in URU; made some good new friends; only to have it so quickly taken away. That's gotta hurt.

Actually, I did once. I asked someone in my hood to help me make a jump in Gahreseen and they did. Being new at this, I was totally freaked out standing there with this weird strange avatar person, just them and me - and we had no clue who we were! Totally and very weirdly cool. I'll miss that!

I'm not going anywhere. The ideals of the Great Tree live on, and I agree with Brian in that someday D'ni will again be filled with explorers. The DRC can't push us out that easily.

To fill my time, I'm doing more research on D'ni. Uru sparked an interest so I went out and bought the three Myst books to read and study. Of course, the first I decided to read was the Book of D'ni Smile

So those will keep me busy for awhile.

Nope. I'm not leaving... and no one can make me.

I was a 'hood-hopper all thru the Beta, and thru the Prolouge... and I was miserable.

The Great Tree is the first 'hood I felt I really 'belonged' to... whether it was because I identified with Doug and wanted to help him... or because the rest of the members were so welcoming, and so totally cool.

Either way, I'm a-stayin'.
