Really? Can you point me to where? I haven't heard anyone bragging since that one post months ago. |
They are smart enough not to post about it on a public space. I heard it a few times from different people on MSN Messenger. For instance, my sister happily told someone about MORE and that person arrogantly said he/she could already get into the cavern and he/she didn't need Cyan for that. And Marten, there seem to be multiple explorers on those server(s). Anyway, even if someone pointed me to one of those servers, I wouldn't go to it, but it's annoying to hear people bragging about it. |
Well, thanks for pointing that out. I do find it interesting though that you say that after I say "I am Uru and so can you". |

@Reelah, I've used multiple text books, but you probably don't know them as they are Dutch. I've had Latin for six years now (and Greek for five), and I'm currently translating Ovid's Metamorphoses for my exams.
So if you ever need any help... |

Right now that I've finished my lessons/modules and have the ECDL in my
pocket... Yay!!!... lol...
I finally found the time to explore the world(s) of ANATHEM and I
found it to be really very fascinating and exciting, Dan and everybody
feeling the same...
If anybody's interested in a short nice review and a trailer please have a look here
Though I don't agree with one of the reviewer's last statements about his
problem in certain matters with Anthem as of "wading a bit too far into
X-Files territory with his "power of the mind" stuff..." as that's actually what
it's all about or at least one of the basic essentials... ok... OM...
The Neal Stephenson website with great video insights/interviews
As Neal states "everything grew out of an idea that came from the mind of
Danny Hillis..." as of the "Millenium Clock" and his own (Neals') contributions to that project...
There are great insights and interviews on this site The Longnow Foundation
And last but not least a chance to read 129 pages of the book plus the
necessary great "Glossary"... please get it on this site...
That was a great hint/mention, Dan... I think you've got it already, right?...
Right now I think it's great to learn and educate yourself as much and
extensive as possible as long as you're young and still got all your life
in front of you, Erik...
So your education will definitely pay off and it shows off all the time...
Right now I wish you all a wonderful relaxing day and weekend, friends... /wave... |

Right now, I'm annoyed that I haven't been getting any email notifications of new posts from TGT. Glad to see it hasn't been a total ghost town for the last couple weeks.
Right now, we've got Anathem sitting on Brian's desk, waiting to be read. Brian got to meet him and sorta hang out once while Neil was running a swordfight practice club in preparation for a novel.
Right now, I am freed from the confines of a dress form Brian spent three hours helping me construct by applying tape to me while I wore a garbage bag. Now that it's taped back together after being cut off me like a cast, there's a shell of a copy of my torso sitting on the floor, and I am appalled at its poor posture. Apparently I slouch a lot when I have to stand for a long time without moving around.
Right now, there's a squirrel walking along the fence top which is about two feet from my window.
Right now, off to finish reinforcing the inside of the dress form and getting it mounted to a stand so I can get started on my first big, machine sewing project. _________________ ~Moiety Jean

Don't worry, I'm sure the topic will now get moved to "Creativity."
