Well, if you subscribe to the thought that reason one will be an x1 downlaod link, then maybe the release of two resons means that they are closer then they thought to release time. (yeah yeah, I know, bad form to use release and reason so many tims in two sentences)

Of course, it could also be that they figured there was no reason to leave out the 2nd sound because people like our guest figured out how to get it before hand. Then they didn't want the people who did get it to be left with nothing, so they put up the new (and rather farmilliar) picture.

sounds almost like the linking sound in Riven, coupled with those fire-marble domes activating.

Yes it does sound similiar to the linking sound in Riven, I was playing that in my head while listening to this sound file and they do sound similiar.

Yes I checked earlier and I don't think there will be any updates this weekend, unless they surprise us. It would explain the 2 reasons released yesterday. Maybe do the same on Monday as well to cover Sunday?

Ohh... that could mean that XP1 could come out on Wednesday... esp. if reason #1 is the words "It's Free" which are a link to the download. (which many people think it will be)

Now, do you think that they just took a really dark pic, or do you think the DRC turned off alot of lights thus leaving the city dark?

Yeah it does look like the DRC have turned some of those lights of. So we have two more reasons to go. Could Wednesday be the Day??

I hope they wait until the weekend because I've still got my D'ni paper to write and I don't want to get distracted by X1. Besides, I messed around with the hacks, so I've re-installed Prime and need to replay it.
