In Second Life, you can create viewers... so, think of what it would be like if you could broadcast video from somewhere else onto the imager in the Neighborhood. It's just like that... only it's Uru, being broadcast in SL instead. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

Right now this is sooo great and wonderful, Blade... Congrats!!!...
Is this now working similar to a webcam or maybe more like a TV stream,
but seems the latter as Marten describes it... Just Wow!!!...
So, we needed the Shared Media feature as in SL to get those streams
from wherever on our hood imager e.g.? This is so awesome... |

Creepy and dangerous!! Worlds are colliding I tells ya!
What's next? Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies? Rivers and seas boiling? Forty years of darkness? Dogs and cats living together? Mass hysteria!!

I could say something something ironic and self-referential, like "You may very well think that, I couldn't possibly comment", but that would be a cop-out. And by hanging a lampshade on that very concept, this post in itself is a copout. Presumably this creates some kind of copoutish blackhole wherein I talk a lot of old toot and in doing so are entitled to everything that you own jesus god I'm drunk you can tell can't you
But yeah. Traded a surname that was based on a gemstone to one with anglo-franco/natural world type connotations. This makes it less of a Mary Sue according to those litmus test thingies. Or something. Not that anyone really cares about those sorts of things, I mean bloody hell, look at Sydney Austin. Or rather don't. She was ridiculous in every possible way.
But yes, hello, awesome to be here, that sort of thing. Right now I'm reading through that old blog of mine and are quite frankly amazed I managed to spin so much bollocks out of my inability to play the game. If only I had twitter back then. The possibilities... _________________ Professor of Classical Civilisations and reluctant CCN Editor-in-Chief

What Martin said. Second Life just added the ability to make a face of an object into a fully interactive web browser (You can click links, type on fields, interact with Flash, play streaming video, etc) . So anyone who was in the area (and has the most recent Second Live Viewer) would be able to watch what I saw while playing Uru. _________________ .yahvo kehnehn taigahntahv .taigahntahv bihv

Right now thanks, Blade, yes the worlds are not colliding, they're being
connected in a nice and interesting way... It's astounding...
Right now dear Prof Julian, thanks for your first post and appearance here...
You seem to be a funny and smart man and thus are fitting quite well in this
illustrious circle... Have fun and meet you in the cavern at any one time... |

Right now, I'm dreaming up elaborate ways of trolling CrisGer. They all seem to revolve around Narwhals and Glenn Beck, for some reason. _________________ Professor of Classical Civilisations and reluctant CCN Editor-in-Chief
