Right now, Marten, look me up in GW2 on IoJ. THe only character name I can remember othe top of my head is "Rilzz"; he's not my main, but will hopefully get me on your friends list at least. Yeah for more Uruites!
I tried LotRO for a bit, couldn't get into it though... Glad you guys are enjoying it! _________________

Right now, MOUL is dying.
Frankly, I can't remember the last time I logged in, but I'm afraid it was a very long time ago. |

It's been a long time coming and was thus to be expected at any time, Erik, don't you think so? ...
At least it has been a smooth 'fading out' for all involved, esp. for the 'old guard', who've had thus the chance to slowly find new paths and a new or different sense of inspiration and fun in their lives ... Unless Cyan would come up with a sustainable solution, which seems quite unlikely, I'd say they won't keep this all up for very much longer until their Amazon contracts will expire next year, provided the monthly costs won't get completely out of hand as Mac says it on the MOUL forums ... Nobody will be left behind or alone, there are so many great Uru communities everywhere in other games and on other platforms like SL etc ...
The whole world is changing, MOULa seems not to be exempted from it ... Let's just keep our wonderful memories grateful and dear to our hearts and move on when the time has come, if so ... |

I agree. I don't really care if Uru closes or not. We explored every hook of it and we had fun while it lasted, but that was some years ago. Uru has nothing to offer, except for new players, but that's no reason for me to care.
It's just a shame that it never took off as we wanted. But that's the same old story. |

Right now,
MOUL is not dead yet. It came soaring back to 4.9.
I suspect that the definition of a 5 is "4.9 several times in a row." That's because the CAVCON number is not based totally on "we have enough money to do this", but is also based significantly on "we expect, based on donation rates, that we have enough money to do this."
I think people would come back if we ever got to 5. I know I would. But, it seems to be a chicken and egg problem.
Anyway, also right now, Video Games Live Level 3 Kickstarter.
There, I have promoted that everywhere I honestly can, now. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

Going for some strolls for old times sake, its been probably over 2 years since I've been down in the cavern.
My new KI is 22794751 if anyone is around. Will be about for a bit tonight then probably a few nights next week. |

I'm feeling the nostalgia pretty hard lately, too. I just recently introduced an old friend to our beloved Myst universe and got to enjoy those new experiences vicariously. I've just started touring my friend around the city. KI is 29337. (Miss you all!) _________________ ~Moiety Jean

Right now joining in to this Great Tree party here ...
I have no nostalgia feelings, but fond and beautiful memories which I keep gratefully within my heart ... Speaking of party ... What about a birthday party in the cavern for our precious Great Tree Officer on the weekend? ... |

Hi Jana! Those sorts of feelings are definitely part of my nostalgia.
Which Officer are you referring to? _________________ ~Moiety Jean

Right now, do we have more than one ... quickly poking through our member list ... OMG, yeah, lol, I see at least Cycreim and Kev additionally to our Marten haha ...
Ok, I've meant to ask if anyone would be up for a bday party for our Marten on Sunday resp. Saturday to Sunday ... I suppose Marten has his own exciting plans ready for Sunday himself ...
As for nostalgia, of course, MJ, I just avoid that expression as for myself cause it is oftentimes laden with some kind of sadness or even worse lol ... Ok, let's neutralize it and make it sth beautiful ... |

Ahh, I see. Well, I can't say there isn't some of that in how I'm feeling, either. But lots of good memories too. _________________ ~Moiety Jean
