Sounds like you were on Force-Elite. I've heard they're keeping that very sparse at the moment.

I'm betting that the new TMP shard has gone to a cluster. We're getting ready to do that too over at Tapestry--we've just been working out the details on how to fund it. One box by itself really can't handle a very large load--maybe 50 people or so. Right now Tapestry is running at about 90, so we've got to cluster it or people will always have linking and clicking problems.

Hopefully should have more info on that in a day or so.

Just coming out of my depression after nearly finishing POTSand losing my avi. Tried to import my sav file, but alas no help. So this thread and became very excited! Now can I join and start playing over or do I need to complete everything first?

You need to have a clean installed Uru Ages Beyond Myst with NO expansion packs installed on it, as these currently don't work on the servers and can corrupt the server if you try to import progress.

Then you can do one of two things, either complete all the content offline and then download the Client Update from Cyan's website:

Or just download the update from their website and then go onto the server and complete the Ages online. But I have had trouble with, the sun Teledahn appears to be bugged. So I completed all the Ages offline and then imported it onto the server and I've had any problems yet. Hope that helps, look forward to seeing you again in the Cavern Very Happy

Some of the Uru websites have pre-made avatar saves for Uru: ABM, male and female, which you can then rework into your preferred image. If all you have left are your POTS saves, your best recourse is to download one of the save avatars and go from there.

I started all over with basic URU. Do I understand correctly that I cannot play the expansion pack, if I want to go on to 'Until URU'?
What about POTS?
I got my key, but it says that my name is already being used and when I change name, it said 'key already used'. So I am waiting to hear back from company.

hey everyone.. sorry i havent been on in a few months.
been kinda busy with work..and at the time..POS had not yet been released..and the adverstising was sayin it was "to be the last expansion"..which had me a bit depressed. (incedently i have finally gotten my copy of POS last week-but havent installed it yet).. seems my comp caught an awful virus (thanks Kazzaa) and its taken me a better part of a month to compltely wipe the drive and reinstall everything(and track down viable copies of some stuff to install).. barely rembered my access to this site...(thank goodness for yahoo search..took two daysbut finally found it again by word search)).and what do i find out on my first day back? UNTIL URU!!1 WHOOT.. fianly baout time.
will defintly be regirstering for it as soon as i finish getin my new graphic card installed.
also what is the current status on the GT hood? whihc server is most of "the gang" on now?

and more importantly what does UNTIL URU signify for us ..as far as the possiple return of the TRUE URU in the future?
great to see you all again..keep an eye out for me...

The GT hood exists on several shards but the predominate favorite is [url="http://www.urutapestry.com/"]Tapestry[/url].

I'm still trying to catch Mystlander on H'uru Shard to get into the GT 'hood there. I did finally get my jacket on H'uru, though. Smile

As far as the true Uru Live....only time will tell. My feeling is if we stick with Until Uru and COBBS sticks with their work.....over time, anything can happen.

I can't speak for the other shards but Tapestry's GT Hood boasts ten members....all original! (I believe). I'm looking forward to adding you to the roster....

I would say that most of us tend to gather on the Tapestry Shard and as the Professor says there is the GT Hood there with 10 members, so your more than welcome to come and join us. Hope to see you down in the Cavern soon.
