Just figured I'd introduce myself to everyone here. My name is Quaxo and I like long walks in the rain...oh wait wrong site. But yes, I have been directed here by my friend Annacat (though I'm sure she'll deny all knowledge of me after I poison her with my horrible muffins ) who first introduced me to the Myst game and all its incarnations. I've been in the cavern since it re-opened...and I don't suppose there is too much else to tell. I've been lurking here for a couple of days and got up the nerve to register, so here I am. *waves* _________________ Beware the butterflies of DOOOOM! and exposition

Welcome Quaxo! Sounds like you'll fit in here perfectly. Psst... Annacat reads these forums, so you might want to ix-nay on the oison-pay.
Oh, and as initiation to be a forum member, you have to post something completely random in the myst game6 thread! _________________

Seriously, the muffins were good. You're such a perfectionist. I enjoyed them. I ate three, if you recall.
And I'm glad you finally decided to come say hi to us. I think you will enjoy the group.
Hugs,
Annacat |

Thank-you for your welcomes and friendly banter! Yes Professor, I do believe I remember meeting you as well - here's hoping for many more run-ins with you and everyone else here in the near future!
Moiety Jean...that's a good name for an archnemesis...
And for the record, I am quite fond of the classics. *adjusts the box filled with copies of Dickens' and the Bronte's works sitting over the front door* _________________ Beware the butterflies of DOOOOM! and exposition

I'm pretty sure you're talking to Rils, but just to make sure things are clear, I don't actually know that much Spanish. I know a few phrases, some songs and I can usually translate from Spanish into English by some fluke of nature. Probably not a liver fluke, but some rare Indonesian deep-water rift fluke, I think. I don't even have my Spanish dictionary here, or I would have offered services after seeing you were needing a translator (at the end of the last episode). So Rils...what's your story there, hmmm? Step on up to the plate now, before the potatoes and gravy get cold...

I will translate for you!

Where oh where is my hamster?
It was the best hamster I ever had, Quaxo!

I was convinced I had left it in my pocket, but alas it appears to be missing. Perhaps it has run away to find itself, as Thoreau did!
Quote: | Gracias por la beinvenido Rils! |
The hamster has sent a postcard from Graceland saying he is alive and well and listening to The King, Rils!
As you can see, this could be considered a "rough translation."
