It seems to be confirmed that the Gigex downloader utility defaults to a file it creates on your C drive. There is no way to change the destination folder. If your hard drive is not drive C, then Gigex will not work for you. If you get an error message about the destination folder not being right, that's probably what's going on. You'll need to go to a mirror to download.

Lots of people are using BitTorrent, but I've never done that and don't really want to do it for one file.

I'm at Gigex right now, but I have no idea how to tell if the program is downloading. I've got the "download dashboard" at the bottom, but there's no progress bar or anything. There's a blank spot for a picture, though. Anyone else having this problem?

I was successful getting it from one of the 3dgamer.com mirrors. Took a couple of hours on cable. Slow download, but it worked. The install was rather slow, too. That took 15-19 minutes. Seems to be playing well, though.

Would you believe that I'm already stuck on a puzzle?! Embarassed
