I propose we shift our object of affection to the legendary Robbie. Originator of this thread. Long may he live in our memories and derailed may this thread remain! |

Douglas Sharper will definitely be happy to see Saxy around here again...

Awe, thanks Janaba! *glomp* I miss you guys too. Just been busy with life. My excuse is that I'm rarely on the computer for fun these days now that I sit in front of one all day for work. That really sucks the fun out of being on the computer. Boo. But since I've had a bit of time during Christmas break, I picked up Myst III again (I was about 3/4 of the way through it) and I intend on finishing it soon. It got me thinking about you guys again!

And I also loved Exile and felt soo much compassion with Saavedro...
I was sooo glad when I could free him in the end... Oh, how I love it...
Haha... Yeah!!! for Freedom for ALL!!!... |

I remember trying to figure out all the different Exile endings and feeling horribly guilty when I left Saavedro on the ledge when I left for Tomahna. _________________ Jaharen

No!!! No spoilers, please. I've only just started Narayan. But other than that, yes, it's turning out to be a much better game than I originally thought. (I was such a Cyan purist. ) _________________

I am now thinking, "What if Amateria were in Uru, and someone flipped a switch while.... no! No, don't think about that!" _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

Yeah!!! And I am now thinking of the complexity of all those ages
and worlds... This great quality back in the days and they still look
so awesome... I love the music as well, of course...
I mean, esp. when you think of when they've been created/written,
MJ already mentioned how old they all are... When I look at those
pictures and scenes (there are also many Youtube videos available
nowadays) and every single thing, all the details... I mean you first
must have such a fantasy, all the ideas... Not to mention all of those
challenging puzzles... Wow! I'm again and again amazed and stunned... |

Oh, haha! I see why you thought that now. Well, considering that Myst III IS 8 years old, that would be logical, wouldn't it? I get in this bad habit of starting a new game, playing until I get to a REALLY challenging part, getting frustrated and discouraged, and then putting it aside for a year. Yeah, I think I've done this with Myst III two times already. XD
Now the worst part is that I'm stuck behind a bug in Narayan that won't move me forward!!! I'm never going to finish this game! _________________

If you really think you've encountered a bug, make certain you're running with the latest patch.
However, I have a suspicion you're not encountering a bug. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

Thanks Marten--I've downloaded the 1.22 patch from Ubi's website a few days ago but haven't tested it yet.
The issue I was running into was on Narayan after I solve the first circuit puzzle. I'd try to step away from it after it was complete and the whole game would crash on me. I can't remember the error message I got. _________________
