Quote: | Although we enjoy chatting with others in the cavern, we are still explorers and looked forward to the possibility of new content and the ongoing storyline like we had in Live. Unfortunately, Until Uru doesn't hold the same promise of exploration that Live did. |
That's the bottom line, isn't. There have always been two distinctive aspects to an online Uru: One was the excitment of exploring these magnificent Ages with others and learning more and more of the D'ni legend. The other was the social component of meeting friends and having fun in an other-wordly environment. Until Uru has revitalized the latter but until the people at COBBS finish with their grand experiments, nothing can be done about the former.
It's taken me a long time to come to the realization that I am an exporer first and foremost; that means physically as well as story content. I have always gotten along with everyone in the Cavern. And that makes me feel good. But, I tend to be a person who needs to continuously move forward. I guess that's the main reason why I'm not around as much as I used to be. But, I would never abandon UU completely. There are many, many great people associated with it.
H'uru is intriguing. But, I'm going to wait a little longer for some of the kinks to be worked out. Kind of like how a lot of people felt when they decided to wait for the official launch of Uru Live, I guess.
I miss the exploration...I miss the new....I miss learning about D'ni. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

And we all know what a disaster that was Although I will agree the procrastinators didn't really have any effect on the outcome of Live. It was doomed because of other reasons. But it wouldn't hurt for those just sitting back and waiting for the H'uru Tpots servers to become more stable to also take an active interest in the project. At the very least, post a message up on the COBB's H'uru forum letting Almlys know you appreciate his efforts. _________________ Uru Live KI #: 69208
