WEEK ONE: 4 pounds lost, 11 to go.
8/14 = 11
Well, got through the weekend relatively unscathed. We want to see that 11 turn into a 9 before this week is out....or even an eight. Going to try and step up the exercise and I'm going to cut down on the portions somewhat. This program gives you quite a bit of food. Also, I'm going to be tweaking the menus somewhat to incorporate some of the things I was doing before to lose weight.
Let's see some red numbers here, people! _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

8/15 = 10
8/16 = 9.5
8/17 = 9
8/18 = 9.5
8/19 = 8
UPDATE (8/19): Ran around like crazy yesterday. Did a lot of sweating and there was no time for food. Good for me!
UPDATE: Just found out my wife landed a job that will afford me free access to a gym and a swimming pool. That should help, yes? _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

WEEK TWO: 8 pounds lost, 7 to go.
Well, I guess I'm getting somewhere. I've started to modify the South Beach diet as it's too much prep and too much food. I mean, what's dieting if not a little suffering? lol. Also, I've added walking up and down five flights of stairs to my exercise repertoire. Hopefully I'lll be able to go swimming soon. Gyms are the best. My university has a really great one available to the students, and I think it really makes a difference in making me not a fatty. Cheers on the weight loss! _________________ The laws contrived by the Proud are their security, and their undoing. Such laws make disobedience a virtue and obedience a sin. |

WEEK ONE: 4 pounds lost, 11 to go.
WEEK TWO: 4 more pounds lost, 7 to go.
8/21 = 7
Thanks, guys. It's been fun doing this publicly. Just an added incentive.
It's funny that you mention gyms, Jon, because I hate them. LOL The main reason for this is because I never have anyone to go with and that makes it booooring. So for now I'll stick with the biking (need a new seat desperately), the walking, and the stair climbing. Looking forward to bringing swimming into the mix and then I'll start looking at the gym. Slowly. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

Way to go, Prof! That's great discipline. Not easy. *pinches her side* We expect pictures when you're done!
I like exercising outside when the weather is enjoyable but I feel that I can be more efficient when I'm in a gym. Yeah, gyms can be boring... unless you're taking a martial art or kickboxing! But I find the kickboxing classes at gyms are just for exercise and not for actual self-defense. That's kinda frustrating. That Tae-Bo stuff is a joke if you're looking for self-defense classes. _________________

It makes me so sad that I get that reference....
Prof, I like gyms mostly because they have sophistamicated machinery that makes me feel like more of a hoss than I am. Consider- on a machine, I can run three miles in a half hour. On a track, I get about half a mile and then my calves give out. That twenty bucks extra tuition payments give me the magic abiity to run two and a half miles more! _________________ The laws contrived by the Proud are their security, and their undoing.
