Just ask Tiella, if she wants to carry on with the translation...
If she wants to take a rest, count me in |

Been awhile since I visited this website/forum. I saw that Episode 4 was up. I figured 5 would have been done already. I am glad to see that this project is still being worked on. Can't wait to see episode 5. |

Things are progressing, even if more slowly than I had hoped. But, it is better to go slowly than to wear myself out. A little time here, a little time there, and it doesn't become too burdensome.
I'm very close to completing assembly of this Episode. The script is ready for translation (note: There may be a few last minute changes if I am able to get ahold of plinthon to ask some questions). I've sent e-mails to Annick and EthanEver, at the recommendations of Amarok (retired from his role) and Leonardo (on vacation).
The edited script is here: http://marten.treeweasel.com/Uru/Episode5_July5.doc
I am indebted to Moiety Jean for doing most of the work in putting the Episode together; it was just too long and I had to cut it down some more. I was unable to cut much though - it is still quite long.
As in... Eighteen Minutes Long. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

For your review: A test version of Episode 5.
Please post comments on where the text goes by too quickly, or too slowly, and I will make adjustments.

Stupid me! I didn't see you posted the script and preview here already today... and now I'm just going to bed. I'll give you my feedback and hopefully the translation tomorrow as soon as possible. |

Nobody needs to rush; I still haven't heard back from the prospective new French translator yet. I'm hoping she replies soon! _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

I've made some adjustments to the video since posting the copy above. These changes will appear in the released version.
Changes:
Opening Titles
* Each overview title extended by 1 second (5 seconds total)
* Sharpened image of Phil in UO neighborhood
Scene 1
* Obvious fade before KnitCucmber speaks removed
* Sharper speaks a little faster before laughing now
* Dan'ni's last comment after KnitCucmber's removed; scene now ends on Knit's goodbye
Scene 2
* Long pause between Dan'ni's entrance and his Hello greatly reduced
* "One Heek game later..." now in Papyrus 40 point
Scene 3
* Background cavern noises added
* When Brian says there is a likelyhood that the D'ni had informatino "that could give some people lots of power", scene is about 1/2 second longer (I felt the text wasn't on screen long enough)
* Dedicatation on screen for 1 second longer
One final note: I did not attempt to recreate Brian's jacket in this episode. I couldn't make it work in the Ayoheek table scene. If the jacket becomes available at a later date I may revisit this Episode and edit it in. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

I think this is the best episode now... I believe I say that every time, but the episodes are really getting better and better.
Very good how you merged the Until URU shots with the MOUL shots so seamlessly, like the Ahyoheek scene. And I remember that Douglas wasn't talking there besides the egg room when we were shooting the scene.
A few little suggestions:
- Perhaps a linking sound in the background, when Dan'ni enters the 'hood where Engberg is.
- During the transition "One Heek game later...", perhaps the nb01AhyoheekWin02 sound? |

even if my compliments are not very constructive and helpful
If you implement all the above mentioned adjustments and changes, also the suggestions of Erik are good,
then it will be almost perfect and wonderful as always |

Okay, Dutch translation is as good as finished, just need to go over things again.
Two issues though, and I hope someone can help me with it.
About Brian saying "Seems Phil is about...in a way". How is 'about' meant here? As in, "around", or more like "up to something", or something else completely?
And then we have the following sentence... Quote: | I will admit that Phil seems a little...distracted. Yet, I think the only way one can understand what happened to him is to.. Well, 'humor him' is a strong term. | A strong term, as in 'a good method'?
Thanks in advance! |

First, I think, is more like "up to something", in German "im Begriff sein zu", if you understand German...
and for the second I found an interesting definition here, and if you mean the "strong term" that's more like idea,
notion or just strong word or description.
I'm curious seeing other ideas
Edit: I'm glad you're not in a hurry, Marten |
