This is going to be a busy year what with no less than two expansion packs coming out for Uru, Myst IV, and all the forum posts to read about both. Whew!
I wonder if any of the storyline for Myst IV will point to Uru in any way. I know it's a couple hundred years ago (or is it?) but Yeesha's already born, the Bahro can certainly come into play at any time since they date way back. Featured prominently in Book of D'ni, well, the Least did anyway or should I say Unseen. In any case, the issue of slavery has been an important one. Interestingly enough, though I doubt they'll do it, it can even include D'ni itself. What am I saying? Thay've already done that in Myst. That's where Atrus was trapped. Maybe we will see more of D'ni. Who knows?
Gosh, it's late. I should get some sleep. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

Yes it's definitely going to be a busy year ahead this year what with expansion packs and a new Myst game (if it's released this year). I'm really intrigued to see where the storyline will be set. Maybe Yeesha as a young girl arriving at the cleft? Maybe something to do with Terhanee? Will it be Atrus's last apperance, if he does at all appear in this next story? The list is just endless. But I'm looking forward to seeing what Stan posts next |

I think it's a very good possibility that if Myst IV is featured at E3 by Ubisoft, it'll be slated for an end of year release. The very fact that they've begun hinting about it, seems to indicate they intend to release it this year. They've been almost totally tight lipped up to now.

Yes E3 would be a definite place to showcase a preview of Myst IV. There might even be something at Mysterium this year, as Kha'tie from Ubisoft will be there and someone else that she hasn't mentioned. |

I wonder to what extent the ExPac will recognize the influx and outflux of Explorers via Zandi and Yeesha. It's already been hinted that Great Tree members will be pleased with the pack, but I'm anxious to see how ingrained our recent explorations are in the current Uru mythos or if it will be acknowledged but played down. Curious. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

Yeah!!! Two more "Top Reasons" released today, so assuming that one shows up tomorrow, then Wednesday should be the release date for the Xpack. Good thing I brought my laptop with me on my business trip with Uru prime already loaded and ready to go
And I wonder about the journal entry: "...they could build a tree. But only a dead tree is built. Life cannot be assembled from remains.
And now these builders are gone. What has happened to them? Are they now part of the remains, or have they become part...."
I can only guess that the last part of the message concludes as "or have they become part of the tree?" My thoughts is that they are referring to the DRC in the journal entry, but it could be the explorers they were referencing. Your thoughts? _________________ Uru Live KI #: 69208

My thoughts are in the "X-Spoilers" section.
most likely the DRC. This explorer will not leave. See 'ya in D'ni. _________________ No-one has explained WHY a raven is like a writing desk! |

I almost hate to say it, but remember not to get our hopes up too much, assuming that the XP will be released Wednesday. Obviously, we all want it as soon as we can get our grubby little fingers on it, but Cyan itself hasn't said that day after tomorrow is the day- it's just supposition. We all know what 'assume' makes of you and me... _________________ The laws contrived by the Proud are their security, and their undoing. Such laws make disobedience a virtue and obedience a sin. |

I don't think Cyan will say anything about the release. Releasing it is the publisher's job, so the announcement will come from Ubisoft.
