I've been thinking, a dangerous pass-time I know, (hehe) about the impact the mass release of linking "technoloy" could have on our civilisation. The possible affects on every level of our economies, politics, science &c would be huge.

Just look at air travel. Its a vital part of our internatioal economy, its a large industry, it accounts for a large part of dependance upon oil and is a massive contributor to environmental damage. The institutionalisation of nexus style linking travel could make it obsolete almost over night and make the person who did it very rich.

Speaking of very rich, has it occured to anyone else how easy it would be to comit crimes using the Relto books?

Perhaps Yeesha really can control "the stream."

If Yeesha is able to choose between alternate instances of the same Age. Perhaps she has chosen to work with a branch of the Tree in which a number of chance occurencies have kept news of the Cavern from reaching the right ears.

The first Journey of Yeesha, its lessons and messages, seem somehow more apt if you think Yeesha is preparing us and our Age for the wonders and dangers of linking.
