I read this here and since you are called, I thought I would better notify you. Smile

Oh dear I think I goofed. Earlier I visited the Up on the Roof Hood prior to their dance party. Cate Alexander was there and I did not do a chat log. I was so overwhelmed to meet someone from the DRC I didn't even think about a log. I did ask about the forum and she said the forum was private, just for the DRC and ResEng to be able to communicate.

I sure hope someone got a log of the conversation.

joaopedro, I think I was so shocked to hear the "disussion" area of the website was private I didn't hear much else. I made the comment to her that I thought others would be upset and I think her response was along the lines of, "yes probably so". Most people were so taken with the age list I don't think they realized she was saying all the DRC conversations would be kept private. I was trying to think how to word a question about open communication without having her leave. Someone did make a comment about Ms. Alexander not listening to the explorers requests. This seemed to anger her since she stated she "has listened to us". She was on her way before I could voice my questions. It was bad timing since the "Up On the Roof" was starting.

Unfortunately, nobody seems to have a transcript.

At your door? Where are you talking about? Rolling Eyes

You were watching this like a hawk, weren't you.

I'm so afraid of being misinterpreted now, I don't know what to do.

Hmm yet another reason why we need someone "on the inside."

I'll delete my post, since yours gone as well.
I just saw your comment on the same time you posted it probably... just coincidence... I didn't understand it, wrote a reply, then the post was already gone.

I wasn't watching this like a hawk... it was just coincidence, and I don't like it how you're talking to me, since I don't have any bad intentions...

EDIT: Can't delete my post.

You can always just delete the contents of the post and say something like [comment deleted].

We're not locking edits here like one forum was doing for a while. *cough*

I'm... I'm sorry. But I don't know what I've said that you are taking the wrong way. Watching your thread like a hawk wouldn't be a bad thing. Just noting, amazed, the speed at which you replied.

I deleted my post because I didn't even know how it was going to be taken. I was on the DRC forum just before it went down. Was playing out my character on it, as it was an in character board. My character was upset with the DRC, but people seemed to constantly misinterpret me to be angry with them. It turned into a constant fight for over a month, with me on one side, everyone else on the other. In spite of me explaining over and over again that I wasn't attacking them, they were still personally upset.

Though I did explain and apologize several times, I still feel somewhat responsible for the board being locked. I know I shouldn't though. Every conversation I've had on this subject confirms the DRC board had all the problems I experienced with it long before I came along. I just... exacerbated them. Knowing that makes me feel somewhat better.

As for the site, most likely it will become a plot point. A ResEng is going to go missing, leave behind his log-in name. Perhaps will find log-ins in journals, receive critical information just before the DRC deletes the account. Ect, ect, ect.

For the record, most of this site is also "IC". Randomness Forum is where we usually drop OOC conversations.

In case you haven't heard yet, the DRC site will not be having public forums anymore:

UO thread where Cate states the DRC site forums are gone.

With the DRC forums gone, I think that this could be a good opportunity to have the GT forums become a center of explorer discussion. I can't remember -- is the registration here still restricted?

As far as I know, registration is not restricted, and visitors to these forums are welcome to post whether they support, oppose, or simply don't care either way about our cause.

As long as conversation is civil, I know I'd love to encourage it.
