ok thank you.
I'll write the jess part as he is a male....if in the video you'll have a female for that part, let me know.
Or you can do it your self changing the phrase:
"Sembra intrigante. Sarei interessato.
(Sounds intriguing. I'd be interested.)" into
"Sembra intrigante. Sarei interessata." |

Marten wrote: | Christoph05: I feel when I have; it has fallen upon deaf ears, Victor.
This statement loses meaning without the context of Victor's preceding line.
Chris is saying: "I believe when I have (offered to help), (my offer) has fallen on deaf ears. |
Thank you Marten.
The meaning is easier with a comma, in the script It was a semicolon.
I change also for Jess _________________ Le bonheur fuit celui qui le cherche |

A question for the other translators...
Did you translate "Great Zero"? I'm not going to translate it, as I'm sure no one will know what Laxman is talking about otherwise.
It might be different for you though, as there used to be localised KIs in German, French and Italian if I remember correctly. |

No, I didn't.
In French we always say "The Great Zero". In the same Way, we always say "The Great Tree" and not "Le Grand Arbre". _________________ Le bonheur fuit celui qui le cherche |

That question is not so far off, Erik
Actually Germans are also using the term "Große Nullpunktanlage"
I wonder how Tiella will handle this one...
But of course "The Great Zero" is a commonly used term for
Germans, too, so all translators could use it like that, I think... |

Okay, I think I'll stick to Great Zero then, otherwise it would be "het Grote Nulpunt".
I'm having some trouble with "That's the consensus." Not with its meaning, but I can't find a Dutch expression which means exactly the same. I could translate it literally, but that would make any common Dutch explorer reach for his dictionary, while it's just a casual expression in English.
There are some Dutch expressions that are very close in meaning:
* Generally, yes
* Most are
* All are, I believe
* It seems so
I'm leaning for the first one...
EDIT: And what did Brian meant with red tape? |

Yes, Eric, I'd tend to use the first one, too, that's the
"Generally, yes..."
In German you could also say "Konsens", I don't know if there's
such an equivalent in Dutch as well, but translating it as you've
proposed sounds more casual... |

Other alternatives for "That's the consensus:"
* We concur.
* We can agree with that.
Personally, I like the last of your suggestions, Erik: "It seems so".
Red tape:
* bureaucracy. For a more thorough explanation, see Wikipedia's entry on red tape. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

When reading it over again I feel "It seems so" also better, Marten
This one in German would be "Es sieht so aus" or just "Scheint so"
is also nice
As of the "Red Tape" I've found a german translation on Leo's
here
So I would translate it like that "Lovely. Red Tape" - "Entzückend. Der Amtsschimmel"...
Hopefully there will be a colloquial or slang expression in Dutch as well... |

Okay, the Dutch translation is ready, just need to check it now.
One thing: Laxman wrote: | Please understand that we can tear ourselves away from these things so seldom that when we get a chance to visit and are constantly harangued by tactless questions and veiled accusations... | Does he mean that he is too busy with his work? That he can't "tear himself away" from his projects? Thanks in advance. |

Yes, Erik, it's like that, that he is/they are in general too busy to
leave the work on new ages etc... behind him/them and walk around,
means e.g. visiting Neighborhoods for recruitment of explorers
for whatever... etc...
As you understand a little German, just have a look here |
