Pet owners should be aware that there's a pet food recall affecting a large number of cat and dog food brands. Apparently this is pretty serious; there have been 10 reported deaths and an unknown number ill. If you have a cat or dog and feed them wet food (so far only wet food is being recalled,) you should check the list and make sure your brand isn't on it.

There are lists of brands for both cats and dogs. (According to the news 7 more brands are being recalled besides what's on the site, but we're still waiting to hear which.)

The list currently has 40 brands of cat food and 51 brands of dog food, so if you have pets it's really a good idea to check. If you do have any of the affected food, you can take it back to the store for a refund. If your pets seem ill, lethargic, or are vomiting after eating the recalled food, they should see a vet.
