|
|
The weirdest thing happened, and I want someone who's been around a while to explain this to me, so I'm putting it out here.
I waited until I had completed the Ages and the Marker Quest, and a couple of othr things, to attend the Orientation lecture in the Beginner's Bevin. One of the Explorers there heard the high-pitched screaming and asked what it was. One of the other explorers said, "It's the Bahro." The Greeter (sorry I can't remember which one) said words to the effect that the Bahro are "a myth," and that no one had actually seen a bahro. I was dumbfounded. Evidently, in her naivete, so was the responder, because she said, "I saw them on the volcano. Several of them." (How I wish I had known then how to capture the dialogue!) Anyway, he continued to deny their existence for a moment, then proceeded to ignore her protests and questions entirely and continued with his lecture.
"We're walking, and we're walking ... "

Some explorers have not completed the Journey, choose not to follow Yeesha, and do not believe. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

Oh! Oh! I know this In-Sane! Har har ha... wait thats Paris...
And since I can't really add any more here are some lines from words to contemplate. Not as apt as usual but hey why not!
Quote: |
Poison fills the hearts of many;
New air enters some.
Believe.
The scream you hear has no breath.
Old ways are kept just to test.
Curses reign upon the others;
From the lips of the proud.
Eyes are removed,
Yet sight is restored. |

Are you talking about one of the orientations with a ResEng? _________________ .yahvo kehnehn taigahntahv .taigahntahv bihv

Sorry, I am still confused about the terminology. It was a ResEng. Simple denial? Or maybe ther's a more sinister plot. I'm always up for one of those. Perhaps this is what Yeesha (whom they say is dead - you know, like Elvis and JFK), meant by choosing sides. Who ya gonna believe?
And please translate for me the D'ni in your sig? _________________ Nion, the Ash - The third month of the Celtic Tree Calendar, sacred to Beli, the Sun God

It seems odd that a ResEng would deny the existence of the Bahro - the DRC has openly confirmed them. maybe he's new and just doesn't believe the DRC...
As for the D'ni in my sig, it translates to "Yahvo is love. All love." _________________ .yahvo kehnehn taigahntahv .taigahntahv bihv
