The Coming Soon page has been updated.
Quote: | “Deception” (beginning early September)
Despite the ongoing battles of the Bahro and the threat of the coming war, the DRC continues its efforts to introduce a new Guild system to the cavern. Toward that cause, new Guild pubs are introduced providing Guild members with new areas to congregate and socialize.
Meanwhile, Phil Henderson continues to spread information regarding the Bahro and their conflicts as a former DRC member returns to the cavern. What new information does he have to share and will it lead to salvation or destruction?
Be sure to join in now as this episode serves as a lead-in to the Myst Online: Uru Live Season Finale. |
One of the pics appears to be that of Relto at night...hmmm........
And it looks like the "he" we're waiting for might actually be Watson. Huh! Who'd a thunk it? And why all the mystery? One might actually accuse Phil of being overly dramatic. We shall see.... _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

Moved to Randomness because someone recently suggested we try to refocus ourselves on being IC in all of the other forums... and this is decidedly OOC.
Questions certainly abound.
Who is deceiving?
Who is being deceived?
Who will the former DRC member who returns be?
What will happen in the season finale?
What will happen after the season finale?
Of that middle question, I am voting "Engberg." If Watson showed up after Engberg went off looking for him, and Engberg didn't come back, I think Watson would turn right around and head off looking for Engberg - he wouldn't stay. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

Phil, by definition, is kind of overly dramatic in general ever since he first took the journey. _________________ KI# 00635697 |

I'd like to speak to Dr. Greer about that actually. I want to know how Phil was before that first Journey. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

If that was supposed to be a joke it was very funny.

Someon from the DRC returns... and it's a "he". That must be Watson. Couldn't Cyan be a little bit more cryptic?
I must admit that it's a bit of a shame that we won't get Ahnonay. While the idea of Guild pubs is nice, I hope it doesn't look tou much like the Great Tree Pub. I liked that the GT Pub was a bit special, but if the Guilds pubs are the same, the GT Pub becomes a more ordinary Pub.
And the first pic on the coming soon page... Will Phil share his Relto with someone? Pick me! Pick me! |

Wow! It looks likes the Path of the Shell has maybe expanded. I better catch up on my Minkata.
I'm starting to get the feeling that perhaps we'll see less new physical content this episode and perhaps more gameplay content. Just a gut feeling.
But wait, we've already been given Er'cana....hmmmm....I really don't know what Cyan is up to. I like that!

Someone else was just complaining that we want to see things start changing in existing Ages...
That certainly qualifies.
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.
Note: I know I probably shouldn't get my hopes up too much. This could be an earlier prototype picture from Minkata... something before they chose the current symbol.
But somehow I don't think so. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

Indeed, it would appear there is no floor in that hut... _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

Perhaps we end up with a new crater to explore. That would be very cool. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

Here's an interesting thing about the discussion for Episode 8 on other forums.
Overwhelmingly, people are speculating that either Phil or Sharper, or both, must be the ones deceiving us all.
There is no way that I'm cool with that. Heretics, all. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

That's just crazy talk by people who can't think outside the box.
Any chance of a linky or two, Marten? _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |
