You have truly gone above and beyond with your work on the jackets. Thanks for making them happen, and thanks for being such an active member of our community.
Here's me reunited with my old friend.
(Please excuse the quality. It's 80 degrees today so taking a picture outside would get kinda messy.)
(Oh, and also excuse the goofy expression on my face.)

Now, THAT looks right. That does my heart real good to see our fearless leader wearing the emblem of our group.
Now, what'll be even more exciting is to see you back in the Cavern wearing that. Until that day....

Looking sharp, Brian! I can't wait to go pick mine up! (My mailing address is different from where I actually live, so I have to find a half hour or so to get it). _________________ The laws contrived by the Proud are their security, and their undoing. Indeed, thanks for all the hard work Professor! I got mine, and it looks great. A plus was that I totally confused my father; he couldn't figure out why I was so happy to get a jacket, nor could he figure out what the tree was for (this is a person who still thinks that Myst was made by broderbund mind you... no idea about URU )
Thanks again. _________________ * Ad Space Available * |

I just got mine! It's really excellent. I think I'm starting to worry people, wandering around wearing a jacket in 80 degree weather with an idiotic grin on my face. _________________ The laws contrived by the Proud are their security, and their undoing. At risk of looking really ignorant and uninformed, I thought Myst was Broderbund also. What connection did Broderbund have with Myst then? _________________ Jaharen

Err, the same one Ubi does. It was and always has been Rand Miller and the Cyantists that actually did all the work. _________________ The laws contrived by the Proud are their security, and their undoing. Such laws make disobedience a virtue and obedience a sin. |

I'm a little confused too... I just went looking for my original Myst CD (and by 'original', I mean 'Macintosh' ). The thing is, I couldn't find it.
However, I dug up Windows version, and it clearly has the Br0derbund logo... and I think I recall that my Mac version was as well.
So... why exactly is it all under debate? _________________ KI 182798

OK, waaaaaaay off topic. But I think the answer is this.
Cyan developed the game. Broderbund packaged and distributed it.

I, too, looked a little silly in the warm temps wearing my jacket today. Then I realized they were actually looks of admiration and respect.
Did I mention I was delusional?
But, I'm glad I wore it. It was chilly in the movie theater. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

Great pictures Brian, and I go along with what you say Broderband where the publishers before Ubisoft. Anyway back on topic great pictures, can't wait for mine to arrive and hope everyone else posts pictures of them wearing the jackets.
And again thank you so much Professor for doing this, it's just brilliant. |

Not to take it off topic again but, yes I did know that broderbund was the publisher before UBI. What I meant was that he had never heard of Cyan, nor will he agree (still) that Cyan had anything to do with it. And thats the last time i'll mention this since it really is off topic .
Thanks again Prof. _________________ * Ad Space Available * |
