Town Hall With Cyan 6/3

Topic: "Age Building & Bug Fixes"
Guest: Chief Technical Officer Mark DeForest
Location: Town Hall 1 Neighborhood
Times: 9am-10am and 9pm-10pm Cavern Time (US MDT; GMT-6)

Time to haul out all your burning questions about Cyan's hopes for fan-made ages and Age Building, What they've been doing to improve Uru Live over Until Uru, and everything you ever wanted to know about plasma and physics engines, but were afraid to ask...

Mark DeForest has asked for pre-submitted questions followed by an open floor, so please PM your questions to me, and I'll send them on. Remember we have only one hour at each session to pick Mark's brain, so think on what question you really want answered.

Thanks for the info, Tweek. This is the one area I don't have much interest in...

...yet.

I've been waiting too long to see what Cyan envisioned for UruLive to care too much about what the fans want to build. However, once Live really gets rolling not only will my interest move in the other direction, I'll probably try my hand at Age-building myself. Wink

These topics really go hand in hand when you consider that it is Age Building that likely destabilized D'mala. I'm hoping to hear how they're going to ensure vault integrity Smile

Think I should PM that as a question to our Liasons?

I have a few questions but I have a feeling the answers to all of them are "we don't know yet." I'll ask them when the topic comes up later, or when I decide to take up the challenge of building an Age myself.

This isn't a major concern or interest for me at the moment either. I was considering going just on principle, but I'm not sure I'll be around that day anyway. I'm sure there will be plenty of interested people representing the explorer community, so it doesn't matter that I'm probably going to miss this one. Smile

Erm not really, ok so it could be in the sense that a copy of Uru Age Manage caused it, but we've had problems like this from people importing Tpots games onto UU as well. Its down to human mistakes in my opinion people don't pay heed to the warnings about installed stuff in the uru folder that shouldnt be there.

Its because of Age builders that D'mala has the museum and marker games, and for UU existing in the first place. ^_^

But yeah if you have any questions just pass them along to me or one of the other liaisons we'll add them to the pile.
