|
|
Hi, all. As the dust of Mysterium starts to settle it's time to move more aggresively on this project. While I continue to struggle with my "technical" issues, here is how I envision the structure of the production staff:
Writing:
--Scripts to be assembled by Askew and Moiety Jean. These scripts are based specifically on pre-existing chat logs so the only real creative input comes from how the logs are framed. Also, how the scenes are imagined by the camera operators.
--Scripts will be posted and reviewed by the rest of the team (or whoever) for editorial input. Hopefully. this will not turn into a long, drawn out process. So far it's worked great.
Production:
--Until my technical issues are resolved, I am going to focus on photography that doesn't involve actors. I am referring to long crane shots and other special shots for effect. In this way I'm not wasting anyone's time as I annoyingly link in and out of location.
--Marten will provide principle photography as will Deg of the Explorer's Guild should he agree to join our effort. I would suggest both of these people bring on an assistant who can help them with scheduling and contacting former Explorers.
--Actors....start your engines.
Post Production:
--I will do what I can in assisting with titling and adding music to the production. Again, I will more than likely not be hindered by my technical problems in regard to this area of production.
--Moiety Jean will be available for music and sound effects as well.
I believe we should have three scripts in the pipeline at all times so as certain people wrap up...new work can begin after an appropriate break, of course.
I'm going to focus my immediate energies on three things:
1) Addressing my technical issues.
2) Working with MJ to get more scripts in the pipeline.
3) Completing the prologue of our series because it requires no actors.
If anyone has anything to say at all about what I've written here, or especially what kind of role they'd like to play, let me know and I will amend it accordingly.

Question: Can we also get a coder with some spare time to work out a version of Flymode with smoother movement? I think that would be helpful for some shots filmed offline. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

I dunno if I'll be able to provide time and effort for this. However, if you need Adobe video/audio software, I can get it for really cheap (legally too!).

As far as Actors go, Professor...
The good people at Comcast screwed up in a big way during the cousr of my move and transered my service to the wrong address. I won't have access to the cavern until 8-Aug-06.
If you choose to re-cast the role to someone else, I'll understand. Don't let me and my stupid Comcast people stand in the way of production. _________________ KI 182798

These days I'm not usually just hanging around the Cavern. Lots of stuff going on on the surface, as it usually is during the summers. But if you need bodies and give me a particular time, I can arrange to be there.
Also, because I have time at work for, shall we say, "extracurricular activities", I can help with writing, script editing, and other assorted stuff that doesn't require logging in to Uru. It sounds like you've got that fairly well under control, but let me know if I can be of service!

Absolutely, Rils. We'll let you know.
And we'll always need actors. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

I suppose I might as well volunteer and get it over with, because if I don't someone else will surely come along and volunteer me. I mean, twist my arm... |

I'm unsure of where I could be useful but I don't want to be a bump on the log. I wouldn't mind acting but you guys that were hanging out with me @ Mysterium know my issues with Until Uru...
Let me know if you need some extra hands! _________________

Script selections, Saxy. Could you help and go through the list of chat logs and catalogue them? This would help us get a handle on what logs we feel should be turned into scripts, and which we can skip...

Sounds do-able! Where might one be able to find the logs? I've tried looking for the logs in the past. Would I just condense the logs to only the important snippets that are film-worthy? _________________
