My dear Mods and Admins:
Please understand that I cast no dispersions one way or another, but I wanted to mention that I'm experiencing some rather wonky behavior on the forum.
First, the forum no longer seems to remember that i'm logged on from one page to the next. Next, after logging in once and I see what threads have new entries, the next time I log on, it looks like everything has marked as 'read' and I no longer have any indication of what I missed.
Last, and my biggest hint that something is squirrelly, when I'm in a forum looking at a list of threads, up at the top of the page indicates "moderators: None" and "users browsing this forum: None".
Is anyone else having issues like this? Is something amiss? Or is it just me? _________________ KI 182798

Seems to be working correctly for me.... but it is a database, so some people may be affected when others are not. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

I've seen this kind of thing before. Try emptying your cookies, history, cache, whatever. I'm fairly certain it has more to do with your machine than the board in general. I used to get this annoying thing where I had to log on three times before it took. Very annoying. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

I've never had that problem here, but I have that problem more often than not on the UruLive forums. Never can tell what's new and what isn't, digging through the dates on posts is not my favorite past time... Seems odd that the same computer would have a problem with one forum but not the others, eh?

I've experienced all of the problems mentioned here, too. Wish I knew more about PHP, but maybe Prof is right that it's the computer and not the site. _________________

OK... forum wonkiness seems to have dissipated for me, at least.
But I treid a few time over my vacation, from my laptop and my uncle's... and then when I got home from my home pc and again at work... so something was wonky with the site, or my logon... seems to be OK now.
But what about the D'mala shard? I've gotten hung up a few times now with failed Authentication issues. sometimes in the game, sometimes I can't even logon to play.
Is there something up with that, or is this all just part of the cavern-wide conspiracy to shut me out? I know, I'm such the trouble-maker and rabble-rouser, but c'mon, isn't making trouble and rousing a rabble what we're all about? _________________ KI 182798

Well OK then... I'll quit trying.
And thank you for using the techno-jargon 'poofed'. I think it compliments my 'wonky' quite nicely.

On the subject of wonkyness, what's up with the member list? Have you deleted all the old users?
EDIT: Hm, I'm not on the list, yet I can still log in and post. Weird... There must be something I'm missing... *feels stupid* |

Hi, Halvor! The member list represents members of The Great Tree group versus a member of the board only. Just a little house cleaning before the grand re-opening of the Cavern. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

Halvor,
There are now two lists if you look at the top menu. "Poster List" and "Member List." You'll find yourself on "Poster List." _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

Ah, ok, I knew there was something I was missing.
I'm just wondering, what is the difference between members of the group and members of the board, and why did you feel the need to differentiate between those two? |
