Is Dr. Watson 'The Stranger' of Myst V?

Like all Myst games, Myst V-End of Ages, is a fictional representation of actual events. Which opens up a universe of questions for those of us who have explored D'ni. One of those questions is the identity of The Stranger in EoA. In most other Myst games, the identity of the stranger is a complete mystery (*ahem*). But for End of Ages, there seems to be a compelling candidate for who may have used the Tablet: the DRC's own Dr. Watson.

Join us in the Ae'gura Library Courtyard as we explore this topic in depth.

Saturday September 9th

NOTE THAT THESE ARE DIFFERENT THAN THE TOWN HALL TIMES
Session 1- 10am Cavern Time
Session 2- 7pm Cavern Time

Round Tables will start on the hour, with a review of the rules & format, and a breif outline of the day's topic. There will be a short queue to speak, and then things will open up for discussion. The Liaison facilitiating the gathering will be there to keep things on topic, and to make sure that everone who wants to say something will have a chance.

This Round Table will be primarily In Cavern conversation, with a smattering of OOC.

Tweek was the roundhall organised in association with the DRC?
(ooc: Does this mean Cyan has given an indication of the IC significance of MystV?)

No the DRC are busy at the moment and we wanted to open up the discussion some more and give the DRC time to do their thing.

Cyan have not given us any indication to how EoA is going to fit in with this, this is just an open meeting where everyone can chime in and dicuss the topic.

What is Cyan's official position on where EoA fits into the timeline? After PotS? In the future?

I think they officially said that EoA is set in 2005.

Think or know? I've heard people thinking pretty much everything regarding this... Someone should really try to clear that up once and for all. On the other hand, though, some questions should be left unanswered to keep some mystery. What would be the fun in speculating if we had all the answers, right? Laughing

So, how about this: On the Round Table should we start with the assumption that it happened in 2005? That would indeed make Dr. Watson a plausible candidate.

I'll try to make the meeting, but spare time is sparse these days.
