Oof. When I gave a list of Saturdays I couldn't come up... I neglected to mention, I suppose, that I can't do Sundays at all. Razz

No one has posted anything about this in quite a while...

I'm wondering, should we stick with September 24th, or move it to Saturday the 23rd so Marten might try to make it?

I think either day would still work for Brian and I.

Eleri? Saxy? Rils?

We're thinking the Desert Fire restaurant for dinner at least, not sure what we could do before or after that. Seattle Underground Tour is always fun, and semi-in-the-theme. On weekends in September, the last tour of the day is at 6 pm.

It's less than a week away, so let's figure out what we're going to do. Very Happy

Aw... The Underground Tour sounds like fun... I wish I wasn't on the other coast, or I'd try to join you. I'm still kicking myself for not being able to get to Mysterium to meet you all.

I'm reminded of a little poem I once wrote to my girlfriend (now my wife) back when she and I were a distance apart...

"Here I is...
There you am...
Damn, damn, damn...
Damn, damn, damn"

/me bows "Thankyaverymuch"

LOL

I heart that poem, and am sorry also that you're too far to join us. As an ex-Alaskan I well understand the frustration.

Someday though! SOMEDAY!

Crap, that came up so fast. I was way better at organizing this the first time around (in 2004). Sorry guys. Embarassed

I can't do the 23rd at all. Sunday the 24th is still open for me after 2 PM, but I have just received an email from a friend about potentially getting together in the evening.

The plans for this kinda fizzled and it sounds like most people already have plans or are booking other things for the 24th. Maybe we should just try rescheduling some other time.

Should we push it back a week? I think that could still work for us...

That sounds good. It's stressing me out just thinking about it... Smile

Eh, why be stressed? Let's just pick one or two things to do and see who can show up?

Dinner doesn't seem like a terribly huge commitment of time or energy. We'll just see if they take reservations ahead of time.

I'm not available on Sundays anymore, I'm teaching Smile

But, there's a fantabulous wood-fired pizza place in Lynnwood, and they don't need reservations for parties under 15. Gotta love a place that serves rum in a bucket

K, so no Sundays for Eleri.

Can we establish this as just an evening thing, or does everybody want it to go all day? If it's just dinner and maybe one other activity, there's more chance more people can show.

What about a Saturday evening? Is there actually a weekend Marten could make it?

whoo boy, I thought my summer was busy, but this next month or so is just plain nuts! I guess when the weather craps out everyone moves to indoor gatherings...

Unfortunately, I have no idea what my schedule is one week to the next. Hooray for social butterfly girlfriends. Rolling Eyes I know for a fact the 30th won't work for me, we're off to Leavenworth that day.

Dinner would be the easiest thing to commit to for me. Other stuff would be fun, but needs to be planned ahead of time so I can get it on the shedyule! There's any number of great places around here for food.

As for the place Eleri mentioned, The Rock - we used to have one at the end of my street in Auburn. They make killer pizzas, I'd recommend it anytime so long as you don't mind loudness. The Bucket is limited to two per person, which is actually quite a lot - it took about 6 of us to even get through one of em. A pail of rum will light you up quick... Twisted Evil

I didn't notice too much loud at the Lynnwood one, but that may have been because it was lunchtime, and there wasn't a Seahawks game on Smile

As far as Sunday dinners... I can be free after 6:30ish Smile
