Shorah everyone!
First, I want to say that this project really is the best movie project ever! I never was in Prologue unfortunately, so it's great to watch these episodes. The quality is also very high, it's really great.
I know that there are quite a lot of people from the Netherlands in the cavern (including me). I would be honored if I could contribute to this project by making Dutch translations. Just let me know.

Yes! I know there are a lot of Dutch people involved in Uru so translations would be awesome.
Keep in mind, Erik, that each new translation represents more work and a new pass at the entire film. Go ahead and translate the first two episodes based on the completed films available on the media page. When you have finished, come back to this thread and let us know. We'll tell you where to send them. You can do the translations in either Word or Notepad. Just be sure to go line by line so we don't lose the order. And don't forget the titles and credits.
Once we have your translations we'll get to them as quickly as we can.
I assume you have some Dutch forums in mind for posting? Hmm? _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

Thank you for the gracious offer, Erik!
Currently, I need to become more proficient at Adobe Premiere. Creating each translation is a very slow process and I think there must be an easier way, but I have not yet found it. If I can find a way to duplicate timeline layers in Premiere, I'll be set. Photoshop and After FX can duplicate layers, but I have not yet found the option to do this in Premiere, and it is very annoying. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

I checked with the Premiere guys here. If by 'timeline layer' you mean video track, then yes, you can duplicate it just by cutting and pasting.
Highlight the clips, cut -CTRL C - hightlight the video track you are pasting to (you have to highlight the header/label of the track to paste into a track) and paste - hit CTRL V. One note is that it will paste the selected clips to wherever the timeline (that little red line) is at that time. But then you can moves things back and forth on that track normally.
Does that help? If not, let me know. |

Blade, that doesn't actually do what I need it to do.
I'll PM you with my experience and what I'm trying to do.
My other friend at Adobe doesn't work with Premiere (though he did get me a spiffy price on it). If you can solve just a few workflow problems, I'll be in heaven. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

I've almost finished the Dutch translation for Episode Zero! Just some checking... and then I'll have the final version.
Shall I send it to Marten, when it's ready?

Just so everyone knows, I will not be able to work on this in the next week.
I need a solution for the broken Premiere workflow. According to Blade, his friend on the Premiere support team did not have a solution for my problem. I understand that Sony Vegas Movie software DOES have what I need, but I don't expect that Adobe is going to stop what they're doing and issue a patch for their bad design (an oversight on how their product could be useful) on my account. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

Have you already found a solution for the broken Premiere workflow? |

Sorry, no new response from Blade yet.
Professor Askew and I have a backup plan, for me to ship my project to him in the postal mail and let him add additional translations, but I haven't done that yet. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

I have just seen that Cyan added Dutch forums on urulive.com! Very cool... If all goes well, I can also post announcements there when Dutch translations are available for the episodes. |
