Just a short while ago, I received an unusual instant message, seemingly from CAGrayWolf. Also, my IM client told me that he disconnected immediately after the message. The contents of the message were:

MrM3FaN · Explorer Joined: 04 Oct 2006 Posts: 8

I also received this. Probably some kind of Messaging Virus he received that made it send that msg to all those in his MSN buddy list. I have avast! which caught it and quickly deleted it so no problems on my end.

I just received a phone call from Wolfie confirming that his computer is now "dead in the water" and that he has a virus, and he wants to warn everyone not to click on those messages he sent out this afternoon.

Ditto on a phone call from Wolfie! Sounds pretty nasty. Hope he is back up and running soon.

Marten, would you mind replacing the address with something like [web address], or even just the partial domain name so people get the idea and not accidentally visit the site? I'm one of those types of people that will try to view a website before reading on so I can get a context of the message. Although I couldn't click on the address, I still copied it and pasted it into my browser and visited the page (embarassingly enough). I'm crossing my fingers this computer didn't get a virus, especially because it's not mine. (To make matters worse, it's my in-laws' computer. Shocked

) I really don't think it's necessary to share the entire address anyways.

Actually, at all other forums I did omit the web address, because of fear that insatiably curious people would follow it anyway.
