Good idea!
The flashbacks are a really good idea to make the episodes more interesting and less 'dull'. I like them! |

Looks wonderful, Marten!
I have a suggestion if we ever re-film anything for the "dvd version." We should make Dusante look like Dusante (his avatar is always blonde with no facial hair, and he wears t-shirts without gloves.. correct me if I'm wrong, Dus). Also, Tah is supposed to be female.
I have no idea whether it was being gone on vacation or being severely distracted that kept me from noticing before it was too late to do anything about it. Oh well. _________________ ~Moiety Jean

That's a nice idea, but I just don't think it is workable. I have many reasons, but overall there are these two that stand out: (1) it just adds too much work to worry over it, and (2) there's no way to get full historical accuracy for every person, so doing it for some people and not for others might smack of favoritism, and I don't want to get into that.
Except where we're running DRC members or their employees (Sharper, Henderson), participants are going to look like themselves. If someone feels that it is unacceptable to not look like themself in the film... they can show up and represent. (I bent over backwards to make everyone's schedules fit for Episodes 2 and 3... and some people didn't or couldn't show up even after I scheduled to fit their convenience. So this is a bit of a sticking point for me.)
There are going to be some inaccuracies. We've even got an "Until Uru" T showing up here or there... that didn't exist during Prologue either. It won't kill us. I've always said this is "as accurate as possible", not "100% accurate or your money back."
Also, fair warning... I can't control who shows up to volunteer as an extra, so sometimes genders may get swapped, even if I know in advance what gender a person is supposed to be.
Anyway, no hard feelings I hope - I just have to keep this reasonable. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

I think that's fine, Marten. I can't imagine how hard it is to organize these shoots. _________________ #Brian Fioca

Episode 3 is rapidly approaching completion. Three translations are 99% complete, and the fourth translation should be ready this weekend... then we'll be ready to launch.
Professor Askew can begin composing his announcement now if he wants... _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

Poasted on the forums!
Quote: | If all goes according to Cyan Worlds' and GameTap's plan, Myst Online: Uru Live launches in a few short weeks! Nobody is more excited than the irksome yet jolly folk at The Great Tree. And it is with this unbridled enthusiasm that we announce the release of Episode Three of the documentary series, The Story of The Great Tree........"Sides Are Chosen".
SEE!......Brian Fioca organize the disgruntled Explorers.
HEAR!......the conversations that reflected a growing discomfort at how the DRC conducted themselves.
Marten says: Quote: | Ready to go in 2 formats and 5 tasty languages. |
No one knows what the future holds for the Cavern. But, TGT knows its history and we will not leave it behind. Join us as we continue to explore what came before even as D'ni re-opens its doors. Witness changing events and learn how you, too, can shape the future.
There will be a break before the release of Episode 4 due to the holidays and of course the greatest holiday gift of all...the release of Myst Online!! |
As usual, I've left a forum out and I can't remember which one. I poasted on UO, Uru Live, GoG, and Myst Community. Who did I leave out this time? _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |
