Hey guys, guess where I am.
I'm getting that weird feeling again. I just dismissed it last time as excitement over realizing that D'ni was a real place, but I'm starting to feel that draw to this dank little hole in the earth. The "calling". Part two. Electric Boogaloo.
I linked into the City the other day and it was fairly empty... but it was buzzing with this weird energy that gave me goosebumps. Gives you a weird high like you're dreaming, actually. Not sure if what I see down there is real or not.
Anyway, more and more people are coming back, which is awesome. Yet more rumours about destruction coming, somewhere, somehow. Don't tell the DRC about it though, they'll have a fit and barricade the city again or something
Are you guys coming back? Or have you already come back? Let's get our act together ASAP.

Yeah, I know what you mean... I've been feeling that way too.
Really starting to feel like something's going to happen. Activity picking up again. We should keep our eyes out for anyone familiar returning. _________________ #Brian Fioca

I feel a little anxiety, for some reason. Like, I want to know something is really happening before I go back. I have had a hard time making the place feel like it's really.. well.. "mine" again, you know? But I will definitely be back. Just need to dust off the ol' fingerless gloves.. _________________ ~Moiety Jean

I tend to agree with them, however when it comes to D'ni, that new Age junk stuff along with prophecies, seems fairly accurate. So I'm trying to keep an open mind |

To D'ni? But of course.
Sometimes I look back and can't believe how long it's been since my last visit. The things we saw and accomplished three years ago still resonate pretty deeply. Makes life on the surface seem like just that. The idea that the city is still down there... Waiting...
Gives me the shivers.
I've spoken with a few others and they have been hit with the same bug. Things appear to be picking up. Rumors of the DRC making a public appearance soon is enough to affirm my suspicions that something will be happening in the near future.
I'll be finishing up things here on the surface this week, then probably heading down before the holidays next week (after some much-needed rest).
Hope to see some (if not all) of you there. |

You all are feeling it too? It feels different to the call of D'mala that brought me to the cavern and into the Great Tree neighbourhood this year... its stronger... more urgent?
Not being from America might make it tricky.. but I've started looking at my options. It really is too strong to ignore and I haven't been back to the deep city since the summer. I'll hopefully see you all down there. |

I've been down there recently and it's getting pretty busy. I'm seeing a lot of new faces. Might be pretty chaotic for awhile. The Guild of Greeters are going to have their hands full.
I'm also feeling that strange vibe...that energy. Somehow the Cavern feels new again. It's been so long I properly explored...I hadn't realized.
Time for some answers.......and of course, more questions. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

Dan, do you have a Relto book anymore? I still have mine. Linking should be as easy as just touching the page.. but..
the emotional weight of the place is so strong. It haunts me, all the days I spent there alone. Something needs to happen to bring me out of my shell again. I hope that going to the city with The Great Tree again will help with that. And some noise from the DRC will help, too. _________________ ~Moiety Jean

I like questions...
Yeah Jean I still have my Relto book, but I don't have a linking book back home. I'm pretty sure entering the U.S. via another dimension is still entering the country illegally and let me tell you it is not easy to explain to curious homeland security officials.
Even so all I would really need is to get a flight to the cheapest destination I can get in the U.S. get my passport stamped and my visa granted then all I need to do then is find a quiet spot with no one watching and Link. Beaurocracy makes my skin crawl
I sometimes think it is by the will of Yeesha that the cavern remains largely unknown to most folk and I don't intend to go snitching to any government any time soon.
Also I understand your feelings of hesitation Jean. Like being a member of the Great Tree, the decission to rejoin the restoration is not one taken lightly. While working out logistics of getting back to the cavern I will certainly be taking the time to consider my decision long and hard.

Hit the nail on the head there. D'ni is a very haunting place, probably part of why I find myself hesitant, yet at the same time very eager, to return.
There must be more to discover than what we've seen. Let's go digging. |

Yup. I'm so there. Packing my bags now. Dusting off the Relto Book. I suppose I should leave a note for my wife...
I'm not sure what's more exciting... the going back, or the seeing / exploring / laughing / being with you lot again.

I've been so rooted in the surface these past 3 years, I'm a bit worried about the shock of going to that dark and amazing place. I'll have to get my night vision back!
I'm tying up loose ends here, making sure I can leave without too much interruption. And I've gotta pack! Ugh do you know how hard it is to get good Gira/Teledahn clothing in the middle of winter up here? Shoulda gone to the outdoor outfitters in the summer. _________________ KI: 40864 |

Ugh tell me about it. I can't wait 'till you guys arrive. Do you all still have your KIs? I've lost all your numbers since the DRC started messing with the lattice again. _________________ KI: 34353 |

Who's to say Laxman is done "messing with the lattice"? He's either fixated or we should have been much more worried three years ago. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

We've talked briefly about Laxman Prof, you know what I think of him and his KI-Hub
Hey guys, realistically unless I risk the whole Visa/passport situation I might not be able to get down into the cavern as soon as you all. The call grows stronger though and I do have my bags already packed, who knows I might after all throw caution to the wind, but for now I'm going to set about enjoying the holidays.
If I don't see you down there, have a great time and bring back stories |
