This message serves as a single resource that lists all the volunteers and the roles they are available for. Just add your name and interests to the thread and the Coordinator will update this list accordingly.

Coordinator This position keeps track of the different departments during the production process and attempts to keep the work on schedule.

Coordinator - Marten

Writer One This person converts the preselected chatlogs into a working 10 page (average) script. Chat logs are edited for time and extraneous dialogue. Also responsible for any artistic framing of the subject matter or other artistic license not specifically drawn from the chatlogs.

Writer Two This person generally has less time than Writer One OR is a better editor. Writer Two puts a polish on the script and checks for grammatical errors and such.

Recruiter The Recruiter has two jobs. The first is to try and find the original participants of the events that took place back in 2003. The second is to assemble actors for all roles unaccounted for.

Scheduler An organized and patient person is required to find a common time to assemble the Witness Participants, the actors, and the videographer(s) for the purposes of filming.

Videographer All you need is the latest version of FRAPS (preferably the paid version). Film the history of Cavern events from the first restoration attempt. Work closely with the scheduler and the actors to make it happen.

Editor One This is the primary footage cutter. Adobe Premiere Pro is fairly mandatory unless you're a real expert and can provide a finished copy to match the preexisting quality with equally good compression. Also, you will work with the Writers and Videographers to select the music.

Editor Two Anyone who is a novice with Adobe Premiere Pro might want to tackle this role who's primary responsibility is to create the foreign language sub-titles.

Translators I believe we are all set with translators at this time but feel free to let us know if you'd like to work in this capacity and what language. (See the media page for the languages we produce.

Actors/Extras Whenever we can't make contact with the Witness Participant, we will use actors is their stead.

Nice work Prof, thanks for putting this list together! You can put me in as an "Writer 2" as well, I can certainly contribute to the script editing.

Also, elsewhere I got the impression you were going to have an "Actor" category, it might be worth having a list of people available to do that. I'm happy to help with the acting when I can, but my schedule doesn't allow a regularly scheduled time in the Cavern. Easiest thing for me is for the director to post a time and I'll do my best to be there... Rolling Eyes

Okay, Dav'on, I'll update the list. You'll probably be contacted as an actor first because some of the writing is already in the works. I'll look at the writing schedule and when I see what's coming up, I'll point you in the right direction. Welcome aboard!

You know I will help in any way that I can... actor, writer, production assistant, etc. I still have UU and UU:TPOTS installed on my primary computer... I just need to get it up and running, again. Hopefully, that will be this afternoon.

Mystlander, I will certainly add your name to the list of actors and writers and for stepping up we thank you. But, in all honesty, the entire project will be in some measure of jeopardy if we don't get our hands on some facilitators. If by Production Assistant you mean Recruiter or Scheduler...well, we couldn't thank you enough. In and of itself, neither position should be overly difficult. But, when Marten or I think about filming or editing in conjunction with these tasks...it can be a bit overwhelming. And depressing. So, if you're saying what I hope you're saying...please confirm before I exhale.

And besides, if you don't like the job, you can always quit. Wink

Jana is moving on from Uru and requests that we seek another German translator. I'm concerned that Ireen already has her hands full with the Uru Live website. Does anyone else have a good suggestion?
