Right now...
Hugs for Saxy, that kind of thing can really shake you up, I know.
And also hugs for Jan I had wondered where you had got to. You'll always be welcome and hope you find your way back from time to time |

Awww honey. I'm sorry to hear that your presentation didn't go quite as planned. I've done the same thing myself - and with much more preparation - and I too had always considered myself a good speaker. At least you rocked the Q&A! That's always my favourite part...
Anyhou, on to the next issue...I know it's hard when something like that happens. However, you did your best to minimize the damage, so I wouldn't worry about the karma coming up behind you or anything. Right now I'm just glad you didn't overreact and throw yourself off the road like a crazy person.
Right now - I'm almost done my coffee which means it's almost time to start working. _________________ Beware the butterflies of DOOOOM! and exposition

And right now I'm wondering if the floater in my glass is:
a) a nematode
b) something from between my teeth
c) something from between someone else's teeth that didn't get washed out.
I'm hoping it's "b". _________________ Beware the butterflies of DOOOOM! and exposition

Sorry for you that the presentation didn't go as well as you had hoped or as you know you could have done. I'm not really clairvoyant but I'm betting you've got some better ones coming your way. But I am happy for your that the Q&A session went very well for you.

Again, sorry for your bad experience on this too... sometimes stuff happens and it’s out of our control.
Here’s hoping the next few days are much better for you. Sounds like your plans with Jean and Eleri should be fun.
And your posting didn’t drive me nuts… I’m sure all of your friends feel the same way… feel free to unload anytime…

Right now, Bri and I just got back from Pushing it to the Limit at water exercise class.
Right now, I'm kind of adrenaline-pumped and upset and it's not because of swimming.
On the drive back we stopped at an intersection and were laughing and talking, and at the end of a laugh I happened to look my window and accidentally made eye contact with a guy in the car to our right. Not wanting to seem like I was checking him out or anything, I looked away.
So we continue on when the light turns green, and then we realize the guy is following exactly alongside us, accelerating in loud bursts and it's really unnerving. At the next red light, we hear him yelling. I look over and realize he's yelling through his open window, "Am I still the butt of the joke? HUH?" So we tried to look as unassuming as possible and were mouthing "no" since we had no idea what he was talking about. When the light turned green he went off one fork and we went down the other.
I'd have rolled down my window to say something more soothing but at that moment it seemed like an invitation for the guy to lean out of his window and shoot me or something.
And now I'm stressed and freaked. He could have followed us, he could have pulled a gun or something. When you'll act like that, who knows how much further you'll go? How can somebody possibly be so presumptuous and hot-headed? How can you survive in society when you think everyone is talking about you and you jump in their faces about it? What a jerk.

Right now hugs for Jean.
Its odd isn't it how all those old flight/fight systems kick into gear so quickly in those kinda situations then you end up jittery and pumped up for hours afterwards as the adreniline hangs about going sour.
There really are some right weirdos out there |

Good grief! I'm glad you're safe, Jean. *worry*
But, even though he *could* have followed you - he didn't.
Even though he *could* have pulled out something threatening - he didn't.
Sometimes, it's better just not to go there.
