Definitely. Registration is not restricted (with the exception of a troublesome few in the past... really troublesome--we're pretty tolerant). Also, explorers have to input a few translated D'ni numbers to ensure that they're an explorer and not a spambot.
But YES, what an excellent opportunity for The Great Tree! Like Marten said, as long as everyone is civil, I hope TGT can be a place explorers can reconvene after the DRC Forum shutdown.
EDIT: I posted an invitation for displaced DRC Forum explorers to the Great Tree forums. Invitation for CIVIL discussion. Emphasis on civil. _________________

This is what I had posted on UO:
Me on UO wrote: | It is rather sad to see the DRC Forums disappear--there's so much history tied to them, both good times and bad. But I see this as a positive step for the explorers. We're beginning to see where we stand with the DRC, if this action by them is any indication. For those who were regulars there, it's time to make a home elsewhere.
The major draw for the DRC Forums was how it was an IC place for explorers to convene and discuss. There are other IC forums explorers can visit to keep the spirit alive. I noticed The Psion has created a UO IC Forum. I'd also like to extend an invitation for you to join the discussion on The Great Tree, where we have a few forums that are IC-charged and have a few years' worth of history tied to them. No matter what you've heard of TGT in the past, we're tolerant of all views and opinions of goings-on in the Cavern and encourage any civil discussion there. Hope to see you at the forums. |
*Still crossing her fingers the only civil ones show up.* _________________

It's better this way anyway. More direct to and from the explorers, less toeing the authoritative line. _________________ KI: 34353 |
