|
|
Recently I had an idea about reforming a Guilds Council of the new D'ni like the old D'ni did. Every other week we could meet and discuss what that particular Guild is doing for the community. We don't have many Guilds so maybe one Guild could elect a representative to go to the Guilds Council for the discussion. We could meet in (I inend to create this) The Guild Master's Bevin say every other Thursday at 18:00pm GMT (1pm EST) for this.
The Guilds I currently know of are....
Guild Of Greeters
Guild Of Age Builders
Guild Of Slackers
Guild Of Technologists
Uru Obsession (A group - well known enogh to be a "guild")
The Great Tree (Same as UO)
Guild Of Explorers (?)
Guild Of Maintainers (?)
Myst Live (Same as UO)
The D'ni Network
The Cavern Today
United Shards (The Until Uru People - don't wanna leave them out )
and perhpase a member of the DRC or a ResEng
Please choose 1 representative to attend the meeting on Thursday @ 18:00pm GMT (1pm EST)
Thanks

I think it's a neat idea for diplomatic communication, TG, but I think we might be hard-pressed to find a representative who can attend a bi-weekly meeting around 1 PM EST Thursday afternoons. (Most members of TGT are on the surface at their day job or at school at that time.) We'll see... _________________

I was thinking the same thing. I think things will pick up more after the 15th, though... _________________

Me from the Uru Live Forums wrote: | Okay it seems I haven't explained this very well (as usual ).
Basically (Ideally) each one of the groups on the list above needs to pick a representative from their group and hand that name and their Uru Live Ki Number to me by February 16th!
At 17:55pm GMT (12:25pm EST) Ki mail invites will be sent to those people. We will then meet in the Guild Masters' (meaning the Guild Representative rather than the Guild Master) Bevin.
At 18:00pm GMT (1pm EST) the meeting in that Bevin will begin. Hopefully all those groups will be present for the meeting and I will be keeping a chatlog. D'net may also wish to publicise a summary of the meeting and future agenda's. I want it to be private so that only the people there are talking and people reading the chatlog don't have to sifdt through wads of irrelevant " oh hi x how was dinner- yeah my life is great too" !
The following day I may make an announcement following the chatlog to open suggestions that could be discussed in future meetings ( top 5 picked).
Hope that helps
and I hope to see all representtives at the meeting
TG
Edit:- I'm also currently making a website for The Guild Meetings with info and chatlogs on it to help stay up to date. |
If you haven't been doing anything lately then this is the perfect time to elect a representative and renew TGT's purpose in the cavern _________________ Visit www.urulive.com

Alright, can anyone attend?
Oh wait, it's Thursday at 10 AM PST? I can actually make that. As long as it's not too long... that's usually my homework time. _________________

I'm still not sure I'm comfortable sending a representative to this thing yet. Until our "purpose" is a little bit more defined I'd rather we all be able to confer on what we give for PR. Is that too paranoid? _________________ ~Moiety Jean

I don't think so... but we don't have nothing to speak on. We know we're for open communication with the DRC, right? That's something. But yes, I think we'll have more to speak on after the 15th. I'd like TGT to be there just to make an appearance, but I don't think I'd want us to speak too much on what we're doing. It's not too defined yet. _________________

If nothing else, you could say "We are still discussing our position while the situation changes in cavern, but we are here and intend to be a part of the community" _________________ .yahvo kehnehn taigahntahv .taigahntahv bihv

I'm not sure why I find myself in a standoffish position. Perhaps I feel that TGT has been losing its edge (and its interest) by being PC lately and I want to withdraw and reassess. But if you want to go just to have someone there, I could deal with that. _________________ ~Moiety Jean
