Something's up. Kudos to Erik for alerting those of us trapped on the surface.

I'm going to go see what's going on. I'll use my Tokotah Alley link if it's working. May as well get right in the action. Wahoo!

Smoke at the Guild Hall again? Perhaps they are finally looking into Phil's accident in earnest. I mean really, how can you leave a person's disappearance (or worse) at just, 'we don't know'. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

I just got back from Ae'gura.
The news: Everything's fine. It seems this was some sort of freak occurence, like an optical illusion or glitch in the fabric of the universe, but the only effect of it was to bug us. The barricade is gone. The smoke is gone. The Bahro are still really noisy, but apparently that was related to the other stuff.
So... it isn't dangerous. People really saw something, they weren't making it up... but it wasn't what it appeared. Things are back to normal now.
(But the drama was fun while it lasted, and I enjoyed being "on the scene." )

The odd thing was.... the Bahro really were much more active... maybe they tried to warn us "Aaargh, it's fake! Arrgh screech screech!".
Well, it was fun though. Everyone was immediately talking about Phil. |

That is a good thing. Phil is still an unsolved case. _________________ ~Moiety Jean

Relocating to "Randomness" because DRC topic is bumped from IC to OOC. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

So who said, "There's nothing to see here -- move along?" How long was the Takota off-limits to explorers? The Bahro are responding to something.
Things that make you go, "Hmmm ...."

Greydragon from Cyan was there and explained it was a bug of unknown cause.

As far as I know the Nexus never stopped working normally, so I was able to link there. There were already lots of people in Tokotah courtyard. So... to my knowledge, never. The barricade also disappeared around the time I linked in.

Well, the Bahro respond to lag, and the City was maxed out population-wise. That would be my guess.

Cyan confirmed it was a glitch. Greydragon is not a DRC character, he's a Cyan employee. I can't imagine a situation in which they would go OOC to deny story elements. I know that big dramatic events are fun, but I think we need to assume Cyan is telling the truth about the bug and move on.
