Right now... I'm locked in a Jury Selection Room in the Philadelphia Federal Courthouse for today and maybe tomorrow. If I get selected for a trial, who knows how long I'll be here...
Thank the Maker for my web-enabled Blackberry and TGT forum!! _________________ KI 182798

One time New York called me for jury duty. Apparently "Um... I actually live in Massachusetts..." (which I did at the time) is not an acceptable reason not to show up. But "I'm in college" is. Weird stuff.
Right now I'm all emotional because Zephyr is being neutered on Wednesday. I'm worried in spite of the fact I know it's a very safe surgery, and it also means my baby is a baby no longer. That makes me a little teary, which I didn't expect. I was very matter of fact about it till I actually booked the appointment. Still, this is a good thing for him, and I realize that. I just... am all mom-y about it.

Thank you, CJ, for performing your civic duty. The waiting around can be brutal, though. My wife had jury duty for 30 days once. She heard a lot of horrible stories as people passed through there. I had jury duty once but was excused the first day.
Zephyr!!! Good luck, old son. No more itch, no more scratch. /sigh _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

Right now... I'm home not having been selected for Jury Duty Today.
Too bad too... the Philadelphia Federal Court is hearing the case of Equal v. Splenda. I guy I got to chatting with got selected for that one. They probably would have dismissed me for that tho, they probably don't want diabetics hearing cases about sweeteners...
But, I still have to report tomorrow and play "sit around and wait" to see if I'm to be selected.
and Right Now, I'm not a cat person, but Zephyr is too cute for words. I feel bad for the little fella's "little fellas"... but 'the big snip' really was the best thing we ever did to our dog.
Not that "we" did it... never mind, I'm going to bed.... Right Now _________________ KI 182798

What a coincidence, my dog is being neutered on Wenesday too. I hope everything works out the best for Zephyr. |

Right now, credit card fraud! (Whee!)
Someone tried to use my credit card to purchase lots-o-stuff in Second Life. No clue who or how, as I don't even play Second Life. (I did download and install the client once, but never actually fired it up to play. Meh. And I certainly did NOT give Linden Labs my card number.)
This comes on the heels of having just yesterday pledged a bit of money to Eleri through fundable.org. I am hoping that the two events are not related, but given my recent card usage, I am concerned that fundable may have been hacked. If anyone else from this site has pledged money through fundable, as a precaution I suggest that you check your account(s) to verify no unusual activity has occurred. Just to be safe.
Now I'll have to change a bunch of card registrations... GameTap included (thankfully that's paid through November or such). _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

That sucks...My ban,k recently called me to question a charge that wasn't mine and we had to remove three purchases. I feel for the trouble you have!
Right now I am recovering from my first storm chasing and I have two dents in my hood to prove it....Who knew baseball size hail hitting a car moving 70 MPH would only result in two small dents! Whew...We did see the tornado from the East side and some impressive rain effects before we "caught the ice show" but it was all good. A nice drive for my virgin effort but I think I need to spend more time in the cavern this weekend! _________________ Ham Radio KE5JBX
