Some of you may or may not have heard of this interesting blog. It's always full of the most interesting things.
http://www.wohba.com/
A smaller portion of you may notice on the right side, why this blog would be of interest to people who like Cyan. There are a number of links... to Uru, to Ambo, Mango Ink, The Mantis Parable, and PX! (PandaXpress!). All projects of or related to employees past and present of Cyan.
But to truly understand the origins of Wohba!, you must first know that it is an abbreviation for a longer word: Wohbanobongu!
Type that into Google and smack the "I'm feeling lucky!" link.
PS: Alternatively, if you dig deeper on Wohba!, you can find the same clue:

WOW!!! Very interesting, but you really need the patience and time
and dig deeper and deeper and it was rewarded lol
Found out that this could be Rand Miller's blog...the name of the blogger
is MODNAR, backwards RANDOM
Then of course, found this link here
From that one one get's to the link you've posted, Marten, and that's
very sweet...
From there one level up, you'll find the RAWA sites
Nice and worth mentioning, thanks Marten |

Those of us who indulged our inner children and bought "Cosmic Osmo" as a Macintosh Hypercard stack on floppy disks have known for a long time what "Wohba!" is all about. I'll forever be sorry I never bought the CD-ROM version of Cosmic Osmo. I keep hoping it will show up on Gametap some day.
I don't, however, get the connection with Great Tree jackets, but then I'm no mental giant today. The earthquake woke me up and I couldn't get back to sleep. |

I'm sure, they'll release it on GameTap one day...
And I'm glad, that I'm not the only one, not getting the connection
with the Great Tree jackets...
As of the earthquake, oh my, poor LC... I've experienced that too,
in India in the Himalaya mountains, while waking up in the very
early morning and then being shaken by an earthquake, though it
was quite distant as I've got to know later on... |

I'd heard there was a small quake in LA, didn't hear about one up north...
Let's roll back to March/April 2004. We'd all been booted out of the cavern. Ashtar had begun to plan a party for Cyan. Meanwhile, Professor Askew was planning to produce a limited run of real Great Tree jackets. (He will not be making more. He put a tremendous amount of time and effort into the project, he did not take any money for himself... those of us who purchased jackets at cost from him are indebted to him.) You can see the back of the jacket in Professor Askew's avatar picture.
4 of the 17 jackets produced were delivered (one each) to Rand Miller, Ryan Miller, Ryan Warzecha (Greydragon), and Richard Watson (RAWA) at the Great Tree Pizza Day at Cyan.
You'll need to pester Mr. Fioca to put back up the picture that Greydragon sent him.
Top Men know how important the Great Tree jackets are to us. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

I love Wohba.
There's a syndicated livejournal feed for Wohba for it as well, for you LJ users.
Every Uru forum should have a Wohba thread for sharing all those tidbits that make you go WOHBA. _________________ KI: 34353 |

If I wasn't exhausted from a major software implementation today I would have to try out that T-Shirt folding trick! Thanks for the heads up on the great site! _________________ Ham Radio KE5JBX
