Better leave the last part... people could be offended or hurt if we let a stand-in play Pehpsee and we don't want that.
By the way, I was just reading some of the chatlogs and I noticed that this is all happening after Douglas broke into the Pub. Is that part not going to be covered by the documentaries at all? I think it was quite an important event and it also explains why explorers nowadays still have access to such a arguably dangerous place.
EDIT: Stupid! I completely forgot about Episode 8. |

I think we could definitely recreate Pehpsee's role, if we add a loving dedication at the end credits. I think it is better to honor her memory with an accurate portrayal than to quietly hide her. (This said, I haven't read any of the information pertaining to this episode, so I'm not sure what she did or said here, or whether it is honoring or not.) _________________ ~Moiety Jean

This is the record in question.

Please review carefully to decide if it needs to be in Episode 9 or not.
And yes, Erik, my brain's operating out on Episode 9 when I really need to be getting Ep 6, then 7, then 8 finished. (One translation is complete, 3 more to go, Dutch Ep6 is next By-The-Way, then Italian, then French.)
I'll post the Ep8 script for additional trimming (if necessary) as soon as I figure out which of the two copies Askew sent me is the later one. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

LOL! I wish Douglas and the DRC would say things like that more often nowadays to certain people...
I read the log (I found out I had read the wrong chatlog before writing my previous post) and I think we should represent Pepsi. I never knew her but the log is full of Pepsi's friendliness towards others. I think it would be very good to include that. The log clearly shows how she was like, in a good way.
About the piece with Vormaen. Perhaps you should send him a PM to ask him what he himself thinks of it and if he is willing and most importantly capable of replaying his part in front of the camera. The thing I know of Vormaen is that he was/is really into the story with whole his heart. He's a bit tempered sometimes, but that's just because he really cares about the story and wants to interact with it. I think he would gladly do it again. If he can't or don't want to do it, then I suggest we skip his part. |

Same here... In general, I believe, it doesn't really need to be there
and it's also not too much honoring her, cause, as far as I've read about
her some time ago, she did a lot more exceptional, wonderful things...
But as there's a chance right now, to honor her within an extraordinary
situation in the history of Uru, we maybe should embrace this opportunity,
rather than ignoring it and hiding her quietly, as MJ mentioned...
This is a delicate issue... the opinions could be deeply devided...
Marten wrote: | I'm not sure there's any good way to integrate Tink's internal thoughts into the script |
I believe, that'd be nice, but I have no idea how to implement those...
But if you'd like to, only a few were needed... the ones e.g., that gives
the idea, why Phil's not really feeling too uncomfortable with his situation
and why she decided not to bother him with an escape and such...
Maybe you could fade in those thoughts with something similar to speech
bubbles, not at the bottom of the screen, but above herself in the shape
of [square brackets ] or anything like that, or maybe like this
... thoughts, bla, bla ...
And, poor Vormaen... I'd say, just ask him by a PM or personally... |

I think we've had some good discussion about what we should and shouldn't cover in the episode. Would anyone like to take up the pen and scissors, and put together a first draft? _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

MJ,
I've taken a few whacks at the first part of the episode already... I'm concerned this episode is going to be another long one. So much good stuff!
I will send you what I've done. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

While I'm taking a "break" before starting Episode 8, I am doing some prep work on Episode 9.
More footage here needs to be corrected to remove Phil's relto book, but here is a longer Egg Room scene.

Wow!!! That's sooo awesome, Marten!!!
The atmosphere is so thrilling, and I also love the scenes
filmed from outside the room with the water surrounding it...
...and Phil's lovely purple sandals and...
Can't wait to see "the whole"... |

Looks good, Marten! I like it that Watson comes walking into view when the door opens, and that he keep talks from that spot, while the camera focus stays the same in overall.
I also wasn't aware that the Kirel private rooms look different than the Bevin ones. Blue lamps versus orange lamps for instance. And the walls are more greenish.
It's great to see that chaotic chat-log being changed into this cool documentary. |

The part you've seen before has final corrections (Phil's Relto book is gone). The new content begins at 4:22 and runs to 6:09.
MJ & Brian: I'll need to know if Brian was in the Egg Room and Douglas stood outside during his test, or if Douglas was inside and Brian was outside. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

Perhaps it's better to move Phil's "They think I was in areas that were dangerous" to the moment that Tink is closing the door. Then it's much clearer what Tink is referring to with "Good grief. We ALL go there". I had to rewind now to see what she was referring to, because there are 2 lines of texts and an animation between the two lines.
I know you don't want to change the original text, but this doesn't affect the dialogue, and it makes it all much clearer.
And it's truly amazing how well you captured Kodama's strictness in this scene! "Time's up! GO!!"
Thumbs up. |
