I'm not sure if it happened during the timeframe of this episode, but at one point people asked if Rand could go and check on Phil. I think that is important. It could even be summarised in a super thingy "Eventually, Dr. Watson agreed to let Rand see Phil, so that he could give a objective (as in not subjective) update to somewhat re-assure the Explorers." something like that. |

Before I respond to the last few comments, I want to remind everyone that the basic arrangement of the episodes was decided over a year ago.
In "Unrest in Ae'gura", Watson's responses are definitely unhelpful, but that's part of why I want to show them... to show how dull and uninformative he could be, even faced with a crowd of explorers demanding information about Phil. I think that Watson was backed into a corner up by the telescope (I'm pretty certain I've seen a picture of this but now I cannot remember where... ) so that's how I'm hoping to film it.
During the same meeting covered in "Unrest", explorers did ask for Rand to go see Phil, and Watson agreed, but Rand said he wasn't sure he'd be an unbiased representative. I'm not even sure that Rand did go visit Phil; I've never seen any records to indicate it happened. I know that two days later, the DRC permitted Tink to go visit Phil, and that will be covered in "The Secret Room."
"Resistance and Consequence" is the biggest lull in the storm... with Douglas Sharper complaining about having his toys taken away, and with the beginning of the Great Tree's formation.
And "The Fall of Phil Henderson" should be what everyone expects. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

Hello,
I have a doubt about this line :
Quote: | It's not just a clever name. |
Can you help me.
_____________________________________________________________
No script on Sharper breaking down DCR's barriers with help from other explorers and finally open the pub?
_____________________________________________________________
I have also find a typing error on The Great Tree media site :
Quote: | Ces événements du Prologue de Uru ont été recréés le plus fidèlment possible |
It's fidèlement
I don't see it before, sorry. _________________ Le bonheur fuit celui qui le cherche |

I think that Dr. Watson referred to the DRC's name. Someone was blaming the DRC for not being clear about their intentions.
Dr. Watson replies to that by saying that the DRC didn't pick "the D'ni Restoration Council" as their name because it's just a nice name and nothing more, but because it shows the intention of the DRC: the restoration of D'ni.
I hope that was clear enough.
And note that the script that Marten posted is not the final one yet. So things might still change. (Marten, correct me if I'm wrong) |

Oops! This is a very good point.
Fortunately, the event was very short. I think I can squeeze it into the episode.
Here's the script, courtesy of http://archive.theurulives.com/philkidnapped_003.html

SUPER: Later that day...
Douglas Sharper: It's time to raise some trouble! Are you ready to show the DRC who is who?!?
[Various people cheer and say they do]
Douglas Sharper: I hope I set this up right.
Douglas Sharper: Push! Push!
Deg: You shouldnt go in there... it's not safe!
[The barricades come down and various people cheer]
Douglas Sharper: Down with the DRC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Deg: Sharper... you're as crazy as Phil! This is unwise and unsafe!
[Numerous people head down to Kahlos Pub]
Douglas Sharper: Deg, stop enjoying it then.
Katherian: Doug...What about the private rooms in your hood? Any word on that?
Douglas Sharper: I have some more "tricks" to work on - mainly in my neighborhood - a safe area for Deg. A finished area. I'll try to get that tomorrow.
Katherian: Good!
Douglas Sharper: In the meantime enjoy the pub!
Katherian: Thank you Douglas for representing us and giving us hope!
Deg: Now you've got an empty room of rubble... without the DRC, nothing would get restored. Just tons of rubble.
[Douglas Sharper links out while everyone stays in Kahlos Pub] |

I've received a French translation of the episode. It even includes the final section added above. Many thanks to Annick for sending that to me.
The production wheels on Episode 8 are beginning to grind into motion. I'm entering the English text into a project file tonight.
Also: Finally fixed that misspelled word on the french page. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

I didn't even know that there was a final script! I'll start on it as soon as possible. Could you re-upload the script, Marten? |

There was no final script yet, Erik, just a second revision,
and your question above needed yet to be answered...
I also hope we'll get a final script without having to guess,
where to insert the additions... but maybe it's quite obvious,
have to review the text again... |

I was not aware that there was such a strong desire for a copy of the script with the added scene merged in. Sorry!
Here is a copy of the script with everything.

Just finished the translation of this episode...
Just to let you know... don't know, where Tiella is, haven't seen
her for a while, but maybe you're still in contact with her... |

I haven't heard from Tiella in a while either, jana. Did you send her an e-mail and ask her to review the Episode 8 translation?
During this break in events in the Cavern, a number of people have chosen to drift away. The translation from Annick for this episode will be the last from her. I will miss her on these forums because I felt she was very friendly and cheerful, much like yourself, jana.
I've updated the project status post so that everyone can see where we are. I would like to see completed English scripts for all four episodes before I begin filming in the Cavern again. I want to spend a few, concentrated weekends just focusing on getting all the footage I need to complete this project. Filming a scene is something I can't stop in the middle and resume later... so in some respects, it is the hardest and most stressful part of the project.
The last few episodes will be especially challenging because of the large number of participants required. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

I will miss Annick too. It's a pity to see people leaving, although it's understandable.
Dutch translation: 50% done |

Just sent Tiella an e-mail and asked her, if she's still in MOUL and
if she's at all still interested in translating our Prologue documentaries...
... waiting for an answer now...
I am sorry to hear, that Annick is leaving, you both are right, she's really
friendly, cheerful and precise, too, her leaving is a real loss, not only for us
but also for the community... I hope you'll find somebody else soon,
Marten...
And as of a sufficient number of participants, I think you should post
announcements in advance before you start filming as you did already
before, Marten... I believe there will be more than enough people
willing to help and also excited to be a part of the story/film... |
