That's what I meant.

Just caught up thanx to ABC.com...
Wow... that's a wrinkle I didn't see coming. _________________ KI 182798

Eleri's Crazy Lost Theory #102- Jacob is Jack.
Something in his involvement with The Incident has significantly unforseen effects. He could be radiation burned, caught in a quantum not here/not there state, something that keeps him from being generally visible. The Incident has changed him, made him part of the Island... but it might not be a pleasant existence.
Potential evidence:
~The two 'messengers' we've seen so far are Christian and Claire; they're Jack's blood relatives on the Island.
~The two physical closeups of Jacob we've seen are a bloodshot, crazed eye, echoing the opening shot we've had of Jack's eye, twice.
~He asks Locke to "Help him". Jack would know that Locke wouldn't qualm at doing what needed to be done to help...maybe even by killing him?
~Richard is very uneasy about taking Locke to see Jacob. Could it be because Richard knows it is Jack, and doesn't want Locke to know?
~Jack would know the lists, and why people needed to be on them.
Potential conflicts:
~Jacob is mentioned in both 1954 and 1977, prior to the Incident... but given the sheer potential for time to get messed up on the Island, it isn't a deal breaker.
~How does this tie into the multiple references to "Him" as 'brilliant' or 'magnificent'.
Now, there's a bunch of this on Lostpedia already, so I'm not the first person to come up with this idea, by any stretch, but I think what we've seen in the last few episodes, and the potential of the season finale, makes it a much more viable theory. _________________

Kehra and I were discussing that theory a while back, but then stumbled upon a problem with that theory when I was browsing the Lost Spoilers site.
Not sure if you guys are wanting spoilers here though, so I'll refrain unless given the ok. _________________ Grey Skies | Beneath |

Mmmmmmm, statue!
Hm.. so maybe Richard's not an original egyptian islander after all? I really want him to be.. I mean, come on! The eyeliner! XD
They retconned Jacob with a giant oversized crowbar in this episode, didn't they! _________________ ~Moiety Jean

I read somewhere the other day that the people who created Lost, mentioned Myst by name as one of the things that inspired the writers of LOST.
Imagine that..... |

Anybody participating in the Lost Rewatch? Led by Lostpedia with the cooperation of about 8 more sites. They provide the watch schedule and it's fun to read all the analyses of season 1 now that season 5 has finished. It really is like watching a new show. They just started this past week so you haven't missed much and they're just a teeny, weeny bit behind on their discussions anyway. |

I hadn't heard of that! We've started the series over on rented DVD with a friend and have reached the 3rd disc of season one so far. _________________ ~Moiety Jean
