Professor Askew wrote: | Right now I just returned from New York City to see Star Trek on the Imax screen. As a fan, I loved it.
As a non-fan, my wife loved it. It was big fun. The actors chosen to fill the big shoes of their predecessors
did a fine job. It was visually arresting. Sound and music were awesome. The sold out theater all seemed
to love it judging by the applause. But, it's the heart and acting that make it. It's a really rewarding film
with no moments of lull when you think to yourself that maybe this or that could have been done better.
It's engaging from beginning to end. Bravo, J.J.! |
I was so glad to find this little reminder on Sunday, Prof. Askew... thanks,
but CJ's B-day was of first priority...
I've seen all the trailers, film clips and many great reviews full of praise and zestful...
... and we were also already very much honored by their presence here in Berlin in April
as you can see in this wonderful short film of their arrival...
What a wonderful bunch of interesting personalities they are...
I also love Zoe... she's coming along so naturally and beautiful, like an angel...
I will definitely go to watch this film very soon... Thanks again for pointing to it, Prof Askew and Cuz...
While still wondering what Marten is tinkering with, I'm wishing you all a great afternoon/evening... |

I saw that trailer a few days back, seemed a little corny to me, but then unfortunately I've not held much interest in the mystmovie stuff. _________________ Grey Skies | Beneath |

Right now, I've been packing for my retreat.
Pookie (my older daughter) is in the school play this weekend, playing The Great Tree. LOLS! If any locals have a free evening, here's the info:
The Lost Half Hour
at Edmonds Homeschool Resource Center
Friday 5/15 7-9pm
Sat 5/16 7-9pm
Sun 5/18 2-4pm
Would you believe I haven't heard a thing about ticket cost, but it's usualy around $5. _________________

Interesting, cause I'm one of those people who thinks LOST has gotten a stronger, more complex narrative as it goes along. _________________

I Agree with you... my Mrs. does not.
Her words after "follow the leader" were "I bet they just write a bunch of off-the-wall cliffhanger ending bits, toss them in a hat, pull one out and write an episode that ends that way..."
She may not be too far off... but I definitely have drank the Kool-aid... and I'm on this ride until it stops or throws me off. _________________ KI 182798

I'm sitting on the rollercoaster, right behind you, Cuz. Hands in the air, and screaming with manical excitement. Lost is in my top 3 shows, that I MUST watch. _________________ Crazy for Sale!

Right now very belated Happy Birthdays to Cuz, Blade, LC, Sar'uk and Tomala! Jeez I didn't realise I hadn't been around in so long. But Jana's birthday posts make it easy to catch up, Thanks Jama!
Hope you all had lovely days when they came
Oh and good for the voice of Zandi and Escher (...and Cogsworth)! |

Right now, resp. yesterday Morning, my monitor screen bid its farewell,
in parts at least... yes, the lights went off in the true sense of the word...
So... right now I don't see almost anything... there's only one more light left
to the right insight the screen and I have to darken the room, esp. on these
now very dark green pages here lol...
However, I immediately looked around the internet as far as it was possible
and ordered a new one, a bigger and better one of course hehe... and I can't
wait to see and experience the stunning environments of Myst/Uru on this one...
I think you guess it already, that it's a bit exhausting to come here, having
to kiss my screen with my nose all the time to see anything lol... So, I'll be
back by the end of the week I think, in case it takes longer as there's a
holiday in between, but I hope they'll send it earlier though...
Have all a wonderful Sunday and a great week... Take care all.../wave... |

Right now,
I'm hoping that Janaba's new monitor arrives defect-free and is as beautiful as she hopes.
I am, of course, curious what model she has purchased _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

Right now, that's the Age that won the last RAD competition... The voice sounds a lot like Mowog's, but I don't know if it's him.
Hmm just noticed the video was uploaded by Whilyam, so I guess he's the narrator.
Jana, I hope you'll have your new screen soon! |
