Cyantology is taken from the Tomala dictionary. It came to mind in early 2006, and at least one Cyantist wore a tie dye shirt that said Resident Cyantologyst on it. Some of the people who attended in 06 may have noticed.

Right now,

Contract agency is submitting me for a possible 1yr contract in Redmond. It would suck a bit to leave my home behind for a while, but I know I have friends up there in Seaaaaatle, so I could probably handle it for a while. Plus, there's always the train on weekends.

Don't get too excited. There is no offer, nothing to talk about. The position is not a perfect match for my skills; there may be more qualified applicants. And I have skills developed in areas that probably aren't needed for this opportunity.

There's a balance of positives and negatives, which I won't get into right now. The biggest unknown is, "Does this offer the potential to advance my career in the way that I want?" So we'll see how things go.
