Test website for documentaries!
As I need to migrate the documentaries off of their old host, I have set up a new site off of my home FiOS.
Please let me know if this works for you:

It works perfectly for me, Marten... Also tried the downloads which
work as well and I'm directly (dynamically) linked to Germany lol... |

It works. The automatic language detection is a good improvement! |

Now I am curious what happens if someone with a language that is not one of the 5 listed tries the URL. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

Status update:
Episode 8 - no update (waiting for filming)
Episode 9 - will be waiting for filming once Italian language is entered
Episode 10 - English script entry now half complete
Episode 11 - opening needs to be updated slightly - this will affect all translations - see here
Filming announcements will begin when Episodes 8, 9, and 10 have their scripts entered in all languages. I am trying to make this happen as fast as possible. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

I want to give everyone a little view into the world of Premiere video editing, and how much work has been done (and how much remains)
A big difference in how I'm approaching the project for these last episodes is that I want to have most of the languages and layout done before I add the video. In 2006-7, I was doing the filming then adding the languages, so there was a long delay between the filming and the release of the episode. I'm hoping to release these episodes much closer to each other because a lot of the drudgery will already be done.
Episode 8 (click for bigger picture)
In this image you can see there are 5 language tracks, all fully entered, and the script layout (approximate durations of each text overlay) is also complete. Music has also been selected. You can't see the video track here (It is under "Lang_E" - note the vertical scrollbar to the right) but except for the Great Tree animation near the front of the video, this track is still empty. In the resources at the upper left, you'll see a few AVIs have been imported, those are video of the Dr. Watson avatar before the shutdown of Until Uru. I don't yet know if I will use those segments or film new ones.
Episode 9 (click for bigger picture)
Episode 9 is more complete than Episode 8. It has 2 tracks for each language (because the 'flashback' scenes require an extra overlay). All of the languages are entered, the layout is done - and this project also has a lot of video already complete (this image makes it look more complete than actual; about half of the video is finished - you'll notice the first 3 minutes of the video are scrolled out of view). The green/red line shows portions of the video for which previews have/haven't been rendered (necessary for reviewing of the work in progress in real time). The levels panel to the left of the video image shows an adjustment made to the video RGB white level, to lighten the video. This video also uses additional timelines (tabs above the main sequence timeline) so that I can keep the main view at just 1 video track. The other sequences contain some of the more complex video tricks, like composite of two different videos together with masking, so it looks like several people filmed independently are in the same shot.
Another image from Episode 9 (click for bigger picture)
As an example of what I mean, the "Hallway" sequence is composed of 3 tracks. The primary track has Kodama and Tink walking down a hallway - Kodama walks down the hallway and stops, then Tink walks down the hallway and stops. The first overlay uses the same the same video, masked to replace Tink and with time shifted so that Tink seems to be walking down the hallway right behind Kodama, and she stops shortly after he does. The masking box is shown here, along with the path of the bounding box (as it is animated). Also, the video for the overlay cuts short too early, so I replicated the last part and play it backwards (hence the [-100%] indication). Finally, the second overlay adds Watson, waiting patiently for the two to approach him.
Episode 10 (click for bigger picture)
Like Episode 8, no video track (though you can actually see that here) and only 2 languages have been entered (English and German). Script layout is partly complete; you can see that all text overlays for the second half of the film have the same duration. No audio is assigned except for the link-in noise.
Episode 11 (click for bigger picture)
This is the least complete of the episodes - there is an opening and a closing and nothing in between. The only script in the project thus far is English, with a tiny bit of German at the front for the opening Great Tree overlay. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

Nice to read how you accomplished the hallway scene!
Will you film and produce the episodes one after another, or will you firstly film all of the episodes before you start editing? |

I honestly haven't planned the film/release order. I'd like to film episodes 8 and 9 close together if I can. _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

... ... OMG, this seems to be a real grind and drudgery, Marten...
I'm glad that you've got practised and magical eyes and that you perfected
yourself hitherto, which doesn't save you from the drudgery though...
This looks very interesting nonetheless... Thanks for sharing and granting
insights into your magic box... |

Janaba is right, Adobe premiere pro is a real magic box. It's a pleasure to work with that but that requires also a lot of work.
So thanks a lot Marten _________________ Le bonheur fuit celui qui le cherche |
