The Great Tree

Hi, have been sending out the following status from this morning in game because so few can get into the city:

"Great Tree hood report from in city 9am-11am CST...nothing new..only 9 makers can be found there...it is very laggy..people are black silhouettes...no new areas open...same barriers are up...please share this..."

I talked to Greeters Guild to see if we can send out the message to everyone in the game at the same time with the /shout command. They said no.. the only way is to go to each hood and into the city, then send the message from there or i could add everyone in the game to my buddy list to send the message only once.

If we are trying to "support all groups for the common goal of restoring D'ni", we need better communication tools. It would be nice to have the capability to talk to everyone in the game at the same time instead of linking to each area to share any new news.

Just a thought on how we could bring more people together into the Great Tree hood by openly sharing any new information quickly...

Be sure to be careful what you say in the GoG hood -- they are pretty adamant about neutrality -- we should respect that.

edit: Another thing - the main reason you can't mass-PM is to avoid spamming. Even if intentions are good, it can be aggravating getting unwanted messages. Hope this helps.

at least when messaging all neighbors, some were multiplied 8-10 times, Shocked

it even affected the Great Tree meeting this afternoon...another bug to be squashed, but you know one bad apple can abuse such power. Mad

Great Tree hood report from in city 7:20am-8:45am CST...nothing new..same 9 markers in city..lag is better today..some black silhouette people..people frozen trying to link out..might try to quit game when ready to leave city.. i'm stuck in pub area..it is the worse part of the city for lag..once you are in here you usually must link out.. it is best to get the 2 markers in the pub as the last ones before leaving...

Tried quitting out of city but still had to reboot PC.

Great Tree hood report 1:45-2:00pm CST from in city - a lot less lag, same barriers, no new areas open, checked rumor for 2 more markers but there are still only 9 in here

Great Tree hood report 11:45am CST - Just got a small update download when logging on. It appears to have fixed some of the bugs like the invisible wall in Teledahn. Might be worth logging off and back in again.

Thanks Mystlander! Unfortunately i haven't been able to get into the "real" city for a few days only into the "ghost city". Embarassed

With the small update they did this morning, I now can't even get into my Relto...I just get a black screen...boo-hoo!!! Crying or Very sad

Hopefully some kind person out there will "Please give us an update of what's happening inside the city".... please, please, please... Embarassed

Me too KiKi. I keep getting that black screen whenever I go on. Hmm.. I wonder how long it will be before they fix it..

Same here, I'm over on Katran...which again raises the question of establishing a Neighbourhood on the Katran shard. There is one...but who can grant membership?
