No jacket here yet; USPS is apparently savoring every one of their 7 alloted days to get it into my hands. I bet when it arrives, they'll leave me a package slip and make me go to the post office (which is open for something like 3 hours total, 9-noon on Saturday) to pick it up... _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

I am not a fan of the United States Postal Service.
That's not what I originally wrote here but I should not be a hatemonger.

You should try using the British Postal Service it's no better. Perfect example I posted a book to a friend down in the south of England, should of got there maybe the next day. I posted exactly the same book the day after to a friend in New Jersey. I wonder which one arrived first
Yep the one in New Jersey, friend down south got hers three days later after friend in New Jersey got hers and it only took five days to get to New Jersey. |

KnightShayde, there may be another order placed for jackets sometime in the future. Please be patient. It wasn't meant to be more than a one-time deal but there seems to be a lot of interest so we'll see.
Let me ask you this............Do you understand what the Great Tree is all about as far this group is concerned? Have you read what we're all about in this forum? Or do you just think the jacket looks cool?
I'm just asking because I'm curious. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

Woohoo! Jacket did actually arrive today while I was at work! Fits perfectly, looks stunning. And, green is a color I wear well (hmmm...)
(Personal easter egg: Did anyone ever notice I had a different color shirt on each Live shard, and identify the significance?) _________________ Durin Mephit * Member of Guild of Messengers - Unless otherwise stated, opinions are mine only and not Guild endorsed.

Both
the jacket looks very cool
and i "think" i know what this fourm is about...im assuming (and we all know how dangerous that is) that this continues the group of the same name from URU ..i attended about 3 meetings in the Great Tree 'hood during the live beta.
alothough how we are goin to "assist the drc" without live im not sure.
im guessing that the fourm has shifted efforts towards keepign the game, the comunity. both alive and strong...and thru our effores in RL..attempt to restore theuru LIve project at some later date in the future..
from the Role play perspective..im thinking this group exists as a "fill in" for the live comunity we have lost since live was disengaged...where we can all get toghether..discuss our findings...or hopes..and our frustrations in game..(and out that are somehow game related)..untill live is restored..(then we go back to badgeringthe DRC to let us help them restore Dn'I..."properly"...
to anser the third question...no i have not read ALL the posts.(even i dont have "that" much time..LOL but i have been reading a few heRE and there.. _________________ /to Dn'I ..and beyond..the path of the shell beckons..the journey, not the destination, continues. Hi KnightShayde
Yes this is the same group that was in Uru Live during the Prologue, during that stage there was a lot of discussion about the DRC and what they were doing and what we could do. A lot of those discussions are in the Great Tree Pub and The Cavern sections of this forum. With the ending of Live in someways yes things have shifted, which I think is quite common across most of the forums.
With role playing, IC or OOC I myself haven't given it much thought, I haven't posted things with the specific intention of it being either IC or OOC. Yes here we can get together and discuss our findings and hopes. |

Thanks, KnightShayde, you more than answered my question. Just knowing you attended meetings in Live was enough to satisfy me. Maybe it shouldn't matter whether someone is interested in the Great Tree or not to be interested in a Great Tree jacket. But, a small part of me thinks it does. LOL. I would like to think the interested party would have at least read what the GT was all about before asking for a jacket.
Farlesis, the jacket looks ever so nice on you. Dare I say it matches your earthy, crunchy demeanor? I hope that didn't sound impolite. It was meant as a compliment... _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |
