I'm not usually one to vent on the forums........however:
I went to see "The Day After Tomorrow" today.......and I don't know what people are used to seeing before the movie starts in other parts of the country, but here in New York we get something called the Twenty in all United Artists theaters. Probably the same everywhere. But, just in case....the Twenty begins twenty minutes before the previews and consists of ads, and popular culture previews...mainly stuff for television. Well, today I saw an extremely long preview of the online game, Everquest II, by Sony Online. The first two minutes were interviews with the creators and behind-the-scenes images. The second two minutes was movie footage (or simulated footage) of the game. At four minutes, it was the longest preview of the Twenty.
And it depressed me. I had no way of avoiding the wish that I was watching a preview on the big screen for Uru. That's it. Maybe next time. Maybe we'll see a preview like that for Something Else (tm).
Thanks for letting me vent. _________________ Professor Daniel Askew - Securing our reality from the machinations of the Station Masters. |

Whoa... what Cyan could do with four minutes to show off Uru!
Maybe someday. Ever hopeful. |

I was surprised at the lack of coverage I saw in the movies...
I can distinctly remember watching a quick promo for Exile in a theater, so I was expecting to see one for Uru... but never did.
The Revalations trailer looked kinda cinematic... I wonder if we'll see that on the big screen. _________________ KI 182798

I would like to see that too (Please, mister usher, let me videotape this one part) but w/Ubi's exemplary record, I doubt it'll happen. _________________ No-one has explained WHY a raven is like a writing desk! |
